Bhote Koshi River is known as the river from Tibet and you can start a trip right beneath the frontier. Kathmandu / Friendship bridge / Lhasa highway leads beside the river. You can do one day or two days rafting expedition and it’s great river for both rafter and kayakers for all levels. A short drive from Kathmandu takes you through fascinated landscape with basically nonstop mountain river. If you are never rafted before and if you have limited time but would like to experience introductory wild white water rafting, Bhote Koshi river is the perfect choice which is variously described as:
• Like a pin ball Machine and you’re the ball
• Like being flushed down on the open air toilet
• Expedition river
The river adventure share awesome landscape, terraced rice field, typical villages connected with suspension bridges over Bhote Koshi River. Amazing view as we plunge through cascading waves and chutes of foam. The rapids here a solid class IV, V at high flow. This true adventure can be rafted between October – December and February – April.
Outline Itinerary
Arrange pre- departure meeting one day before the trip departure. Share trip information and fix up pick up point for next day departure.
Day 01: Drive Kathmandu - Lamosangu (95 Km, 3 hrs drive), raft for 3- 4 hrs.
Day 2: Raft 3-4 hrs and drive back to Kathmandu

Day 01: Drive Kathmandu to eastern Nepal Lamosangu (95 km 3hrs drive), rafting starting point. We pass spectacular view of Ganesh Himal and Langtang ranges en - route.
Day 1: We take a trip to 95 km. east from Kathmandu is the starting point Lomosangu- Dam of the trip. This is a spectacular drive through villages and if weather permits, you will have fantastic mountain views i.e. Ganesh Himal, Langtang etc, we raft the first 10 km of the MOST exciting stretch of the river and then return to the start to play again the same stretch the next day rather than continue with only half a day paddling to the end. Drives back to our camp.
Day 2: After breakfast a quick pack up and set out (approx. 9 to 10 a.m.) run white water hit again a class 3 rapid starting from upper section. You have the second chance to show how your raft team can work well together in challenging rapids. We have lunch on the river and continue the action until the take out point Dolalghat Bazaar about 2 to 3 p.m. and bus back to Kathmandu. Our trip is over here.
