Trekking in the Everest region involves much up-and-down walking on good inclined paths and over sturdy suspension bridges. Path, altitudes range from 2,000m-5,500m / 6,562ft-18,045ft with Acute Mountain Sickness problems possible above 3,000m/9,850ft. Slow and steady walking is recommended and compulsory acclimatization days need to be taken. Any trek through the Sherpa villages will introduce you to these friendly people and their culture. The scenery gets more spectacular, and colder, towards the north.
Mountain Mart Treks is offering here below trekking and climbing trips for this season. These include short treks for folk who want to experience the region's culture and Everest View or the Gokyo Lakes at comfortable altitudes, to treks having Everest Base Camp as a final destination.
