Manaslu Tsum valley Trek 2012

What a beautiful trekking, again! This was the third time we did a trekking with Dolakh’s agency (Mountain Mart Treks) and it was again a great experience. The Manaslu route is highly recommended for wild nature, animal life (lots of monkeys, longurs!) remote areas and impressive mountain views. In Lho and Samagaon you can get a clear view of Manaslu and also on the Larkya La you have an astonishing view on the surrounding mountains, and the pass isn’t that difficult. There are plenty of villages along the route, so you can make the days as short or long as you like.

You really should go to Tsum Valley if you go to Manaslu. In Tsum Valley you can get a good impression of the everyday life of the Tibetan villagers via homestay. The people are very friendly and western civilization hasn’t spoiled the area yet. You can experience the real Buddhist culture in the many gompa’s on the way. We saw very few tourists, what we think of as something positive.

Mountain Mart is a reliable agency, which provides real good service. Dolakh and Prem are friendly and trustworthy and we always have lots of fun with them and the porters on the way. And, not quite unimportant if you go on a camping trekking, the food is always delicious!

He was looking after us with care, waiting for me because I’d got problem with altitude and care very good explications at all our questions about country, landscape, people, religion etc. we kept a very good memory good memory of this trek.
