I had never done a trek before, and the decision to do the Poon Hill Trek was a brilliant one. The thing that made it special was our wonderful, knowledgeable and patient guide Gokarna. Our guide helped us every step of the way, and provided us with so much incredible information about the mountains and the culture.
The trek itself was very special, there was lots of gentle uphill, some not so gentle uphills, some beautiful rolling track and some downhill. All of it was just beautiful.
The highlights of the trip were seeing the sunrise over the mountains from the top of Poon Hill (Gokarna kindly volunteered to take many photos of my partner and I which we will cherish), spotting Langur monkeys (which Gorkana pointed out to us), leaning Nepalese card games at night in the lodges, and also challenging myself to do a hike I didn’t know if I was capable of.
The hike was beautiful but it was our guide Gokarna that made the experience truly magical.

We had a great trek in Langtang and Gosaikunda. We were accompanied by our guide Supid who was always present to help us, explain the places we visited and build confidence, even in the most difficult passages. He also showed flexibility to change the route, as we encountered difficulties.
We saw beautiful landscapes and made beautiful discoveries. We really enjoyed our experience!

We had a great trek in Langtang and Helambu Valley. Beautiful landscapes, forests and lives on the Himalayas. We were very lucky because we had a lot of sunshine. We were accompanied by our Sudip guide and we had a very pleasant time together. Everyone of the stay, it was very helpful, always present to help us and make us discover the places visited. We loved our experience and recommend!

I had a great experience with Sudip as my guide. We tailored a trek around the Langtang Valley specific for my very limited time.
Sudip was great. He was attentive, knowledgeable and generally a very nice guy. Some of the trek was strenuous, and he was very patient and helpful.
We got quite lucky and saw a lot of wildlife, including langur monkeys, musk deer, mountain goats, Himalayan munal (the National bird of Nepal), and a very elusive fox!

We had a 3 day trip from Kathmandu to Poon Hill. The local guide was amazing and very professional! I had a trouble with my shoes on the way back so he gave me his ones and really took care of me and my friend from the very start to the very end. The trip was fun and with good vibes! I booked Nagarkot sunrise tour with my hotel. Tbh, I found the package a bit more expensive than others (was hoping to get a discounted price since I was their hotel guest. To give more context, Mountain Mart Treks is the internal agency of the hotel I stayed in).
Too bad it was raining on the day we went to see the sunrise in Nagarkot. Despite that, I enjoyed the hike with Ram. He showed me the old houses, different temples, and stupa along the way, and we went to Changu Narayan Temple. I also told Ram that I wanted to try more Nepali dishes so he brought me to a local place for breakfast (this was not part of the package). I was happy I tried new food. I didn’t complete the whole tour as I was rushing back to Kathmandu to check out, however, Ram was understanding and so kind enough to accompany me in Kathmandu afterwards.
Ram is an experienced tour guide for trekking, hiking, and city tour. He shared his knowledge and stories and actually inspired me to do a trek next time (perhaps Annapurna!). He went beyond my expectations. Would definitely recommend Ram for your travel plans in Nepal!

Mountain Mart Treks and my guide Yukumar did an incredible job arranging everything! I did the 10 day Gokyo Lakes trip which branches off from Everest Base Camp. It was one of the most difficult things I've ever done physically- but worth it in every way. The view from Gokyo Ri at the end is spectacular and pictures cannot do it justice.
The entire way, Yukumar made every effort to make sure I had as good a time as possible. (Please realize this will be a adventure not a "tour" and the tea houses high up will be pretty rustic by western standards.) I advise anyone doing this trek to read up on Wim Hof high altitude breathing as it helped me a great deal. Also, bring ear plugs for the tea houses as the walls will be thin.
I am so happy that I booked with Mountain Mart Treks. And I'll never forget the time I had in the mountains with Yukumar and my porter, Dawa. They became friends and really wanted me to experience the mountains. The experience will be deep in my heart for the rest of my life.

This is the second time we have used the services of this company and we are absolutely satisfied! Upon arrival in Kathmandu, we stay at their Everest boutique hotel, where Doloh helps us organize our trek in one day!
This time we had two treks for 10 days - Mardi Himal and trek to Annapurna base camp.
Everything went great thanks to our guide Sudip and Porter Susan. Thanks them very much! all our wishes were heard, we lived in very pleasant loggias, the speed of walking was also comfortable. During the trek, Sudip told many interesting facts about the country, about people's way of life, about the mountains and about nature. Sudip is very attentive, caring, polite, tactful, always made sure that our trek was as comfortable as possible. We were very pleased with our guide Sudip and porter Susan! we will definitely go with them on another trek again and recommend them to everyone!

I have tried to write this review a few times now. It is hard to put into words what an amazing experience it was booking, planning and participating in an Everest Base Camp trek with Mountain Mart Treks. Dolakh was world class to work with. He was always available to answer my questions and to assist with my requests. He runs a top notch hotel in Thamel. We stayed there multiple night pre and post trek. Ido Nabin was our guide. He also provided top notch service. Our porters name was Bidel (spelt wrong I am sure). He always made sure our equipment was handled with care and it was always awaiting us at our next destination.
Quite frankly I can not recommend this agency strongly enough. If you are looking for an amazing experience in Nepal, reach out to this company. You will not be disappointed!!!

Trip of a lifetime, so incredible. Ram and Yukamar took care of everything. From keeping us on schedule to daily teahouses and food order. Yukamar took us through the Lukla airport knowing people personally and every detail. We watched others struggle with ticketing, security, and baggage.
On the mountain they would hold morning briefings and evening debriefings to let us know what to expect. Support of mtn Sherpas and incredible porters got us to the top of Mera peak 6,476 meters.
Everest Boutique Hotel was immaculate and a welcome haven from the chaos of Kathmandu, Doloc the owner of Mountain Mart and the Hotel took person time to make sure our trip met all our needs.
Simply the best from the airport to the peak and back.

I booked the Mera Peak Trek with Mountain Mart. The entire trek was amazing. What made it great was the helpful guides, porters, and Sherpas. My favorite guide is Ram Bhandari. I've known Ram for 8 years and have completed many reels with him. He is one of the best guides available. I am a repeat customer with Mountain Mart, and have booked 4 adventures with them. They take care of everything! Don't shop price. The Himalayas are demanding and can be dangerous, so you need a company you can count on. I've also known the owner of Mountain Mart for 8 years, and I trust him. He is also the owner of the Everest Boutique Hotel, which is where you will stay in Kathmandu. It is an excellent hotel.

I did the Mera Peak Summit trek with Mountain Mart. Mountain Mart took care of everything. Provided airport pickup, a nice hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu (Everest Boutique Hotel), and great mountain and Sherpa guides. I have no complaints. If you are planning to book with Mountain Mart, ask for Ram Bhandari to be your mountain guide. He is very professional, easy to be around, knows the area perfectly, and truly cares about each guest. He did all he could to make our trek the best - and it was! Another great guide is Yukumar - teamed with Ram, Yukumar helped make the trek enjoyable, fun, and safe.

3rd successful trip to Nepal. All with Mountain Mart Trekking. 3rd time using Ram Bhandari as our guide. This time we also had another excellent guide Yukumar Magar.
Our guides had excellent knowledge of the mountain. They ensured great accommodations. They made sure our food is well prepared. I have never been sick on any of my treks (I can’t overestimate the importance of this). Out water is always treated as well.
Mountain Mart and our guides always arrange great porters. Our packs are treated with care. Always dry and arrives to our destinations before we do.
This trip we had Sherpas as well. The safety and motivation they provided helped our whole group of 5 summit. What an honor to work with such knowledgeable people.
Everything on our trip was taken care of from airport shuttles, great accommodations in Kathmandu at the Everest Boutique Hotel. All flights and even the city tour.
I could not recommend Mountain Mart and the Everest Boutique Hotel any higher.
Do not go with the cheapest option. Knowledge and experience will ensure the success of your trek. You do not want to get sick and turn around by cutting corners or inexperienced guides who do not have the connections ongoing the route.
I would personally ask for Ram Bhandari to be your guide. Yukumar Magar is also excellent.

What an amazing experience. If you are at all interested then this is the place. Ram, Dolakh, Kumar, Dawa, Prakash, Bir, Pemba are all top notch. It was an incredible trip. The lodges were excellent. Delicious food. Ram was an incredible guide. Kumar had us thru the airport in Lukla and in Kathmandu in no time. He was on top of it all. Felt like Royalty. Dolakhs hotel, Everest Boutique is amazing. Excellent food, rooms were pristine. Way above 3 stars. Mera peak trek is one I will never forget.

My companion and I contacted the travel agency only a few days before the trekking began. The travel agent replied quickly and agreed to deduct some charges. The guide and porter assigned to us are very excellent and professional.
During the six-day trip, the first four days were a slow ascending, and the last two were a quick descending. Early June is before the onset of the rainy season, so there are only few travellers along the road. It's a comfortable timing for those who don't want to be overcrowded. We were lucky to encounter only one afternoon shower.
Our guide, Gokarna Magar, gave us a lot of help throughout this trip. He was very responsible and thoughtful. He was in his early thirties, very good at English and very talkative if you ask. He gave us a lot of knowledge about mountain, nature and Nepal's society and culture. He is a very good guide and deserves to be appointed if the visitor wants more information and communication. Our porter, Sujan Baram, is also very dedicated and provide us with reliable service. When I was ill on the top of the mountain, they cared about me and helped me recovering.
We're lucky to have a well-organized travelling and reliable guide and porter.
They're trustworthy.

My friends and I just completed an classic everest base camp trek with Mountain Mart Treks. Special shout out to our guide, Prem who took very good care of us during the trek. He kept our spirits up high and arranged everything very well for us. Also shout out to our porters, the trip was made successful because of them. Our duffel bags were always ready in the room before we arrive. Dolakh the managing director went above and beyond, he did all the planning and tried his best to answer all our questions. We would definitely choose Mountain Mart Treks again!

My family and I just finished the classic Everest base camp trek with Mountain Mart and had such an amazing trek! Bhoj Raz was our guide and we really enjoyed his company.
He made sure we were were set up from the beginning with the airport pickup, rides, and checked our trekking gear.
Along the trek Bhoj told us some cultural information and was an excellent photographer for us. He set up nice lunch stops for us along the route and assisted with advising us on the best and safest food options. He accommodated all our wishes and even called around to find a guest house with a hot shower! After my Mom fell and was struggling to make the trek, he stayed at her side and held her the whole day to make her comfortable. His conversation and energy on the trip was very refreshing and we left friends!
The day after our return, Bhoj went above and beyond by walking us through town and pointing out good shops for deals. He even helped bargain with the locals to get us the best prices! He is very patient person and a pleasure to be around.
Dolakh, the Managing Director, was very friendly and professional. He explained the trip well and also gave us some great souvenirs! He was generous to let us his personal van for personal trips at a very reasonable rate for unlimited time. We liked their company so much we booked a day excursion with them for another day this trip. Dolakh was also very helpful in advising us on good restaurants around town and the best clinic to go to when I caught a cold and wanted to be checked out.
The trek itself was very challenging but well worth it for the views. My family consists of 3 young adults (26, 29, 30) and my parents (62, 60) and we are an athletic family, with the exception of my mother. She struggled a lot with the extreme inclines and elevation changes. We went December 26th-31st and the weather was pleasant during the day but very cold at night. Hotels are not heated and hot showers/running water in rooms are very unpredictable at this time. Food and drinks along route were safe and very good. This was the perfect time of year because there were hardly any tourists! The villages along the way are well equipped with anything you might need/have forgotten and the locals are friendly and polite.
My family really enjoyed our trip and would highly recommend Mountain Mart to friends and family!

A very well organised trek. From the minute we landed in Kathmandu we were taken care of! Our very experienced and patient guide Tilak was exceptional, parting with lots of knowledge and making sure that we all walked at our own pace, ensuring our safety! The strong porters were also very good, not only carrying our bags but helping out with meals, walking, helping Tilak monitor our well being, I would thoroughly recommend Mountain Mart Treks and if you can request Tilak as your guide. This March Myself and a friend trekked to the basecamp of Everest thus making it one of the best experiences we have ever had.
This would not have been possible without the amazing work of the Mountain mart team!
Dolakh the Manager/Director of the company was very quick to respond to all our enquiries.
I had emailed many top rated companies at the time and Dolakh was the most efficient and helpful throughout the whole process.
Calling me via whatsapp on request and emailing all the necessary information and documents very quickly.
He is very Trustworthy And Keeps to his word, making sure we where happy with all our decisions helping us choose the pefect package.
Our Guide (Tilak) and sherpa (Gopal) are by far the best guide and sherpa combo out there.
Fun and caring, always keeping our best interests and welbeing as thier first priority.
TILAK has got 17plus years experience in the Himalayas and knew everything at any point during the trek, making him the fountain of knowledge amongst the the guides. Knowing key facts and information during the trek made our experience a miliion times better.
With his experience his attentivness to our wellbeing and health was essential. Making sure we where eating and drinking right to keep us fit and healthy for the trekking. BEST GUIDE
GOPAL our sherpa was one of a kind. He had the strength of a Yak and a heart of Gold.
Kept close with us during the Trek it made our experience a whole lot better. As majority pther companies would have their sherpas live and eat elsewhere not engaging with clients.
He came 6th in the Everest marathon! Thats the type of Sherpa you want! *LEGEND*

Me and my best friend booked a 4-day short EBC trekking tour with Mountain Mart Treks. Dolakh (owner and correspondent) was very helpful in answering to our queries. He helped us planned the intinerary and booked our dosmetic flights to Lukla from Kathmandu (to and fro). Airport transfers were also included.
The 4 day short trek was an amazing experience. The two of us stayed in proper lodges. The company also provided us with sleeping bags and that really helped us stay warm during the night while we slept.
Our guide, Makar Tamang, was very knowledgeable and helpful. While we trekked, he explained very patiently the various names of the villages and the different mountains. He also took good care of our meals and our well-being, constantly asking if we are ok during the trek. He was also flexible with the tour intinerary and made suggestions that helped made the trek more enjoyable.
We had a very strong porter, Prem, who helped us with our bags and made our trek a very enjoyable and manageable one

We had the best time in Nepal, trekking with Mountain Mart. Dolakh responded very quickly and everything was possible. In Kathmandu we met our guide Ram and our porter Mongol. Everything went very smoothly. Ram was so kind, helpfull and fun to have around. He tought us a lot about Nepalese culture and the mountains. Ram and Mongol made sure everything from sleeping to our daily snacks were perfect. We will come back to Nepal and will definetly do a trekking with MMT (and Ram!) again. Thank you!

Once again, I engaged Mountain Mart trekking to arrange my Annapurna Circuit trekking for this year. The trekking trip have been arranged start from when I arrived the Kathmandu airport till the day I leave Nepal. Once again, Dolakh have been arrange my accommodation in Kathmandu together with the trekking itinerary for the Annapurna Circuit Trek.
*By the way, Everest Boutique Hotel is a wonderful hotel to stay.
My guide this year is Ram and once again he has been able to arrange the trip to my schedule and my liking.
Ram had been very attentive and always taking care of my needs during this 16 days trek.
It has been a wonderful trek again in Nepal and looking forward to my next trek with Mountain Mart trekking.
