We had a fantastic experience with mountain mart! Our guide Raju was extremely friendly, considerate and knowledgeable. He made our experience very positive and several people along the way even commented on how nice he was. Our porter Dilip was also very positive and great to be around. His combination of hard work and amicability was very impressive. I highly recommend that anyone looking to go trekking in Nepal seeks out these two!

The people from mountain mart were great. I didnt know that the hotels were not heated. But except of that the commuication was outstanding.
Our guide Raju is a great person. He really cared about our health and did everything for us to feel comfortable.
We were also really happy with our porter Dilip. Despite our fast pace he easily kept track and was still energetic in the evening.
I can recommend mountain mart to everyone. Just prepare for really cold evenings;).
Btw: I have no idea who thought that building a non heated house out of concrete walls and steel roofs is a good idea in the mountain.

After our great experience on our private Poon Hill trek with our guide Ram Bhandari of Mountain Mart, we continued on a second trek with Ram- a 7 day private Everest Panorama trek. Our accommodations in Monjo, Namche and Tengbuche were comfortable, with a good food selection leading to no stomach issues. Our guide Ram was, once again, awesome. He was professional, attentive and soft-spoken and responsive to all of our needs. The trek provided stunning mountain views, including blue sky views of Everest, Lhotse and friends. We also trekked through numerous small villages, encountering gentle, kind Nepalese people along the way.
Overall, Ram and Mountain Mart exceeded our expectations, including the provision of poles, sleeping bags and duffel bags for our comfort. We will definitely book our future Nepal treks with Ram of Mountain Mart.

Just finishing up after spending 15 days in Nepal and taking part in the 12 day everest base camp trek.
When looking for a tour company there is obviously no shortage of choice but I just want to say now if youve been lucky enough to come across this company then theres no need to keep looking. Truly, from start to finish they have been incredible. Dolakh the company owner was very tentative before I arrived in Nepal and once I landed in the country he bent over backwards to help me with anything at all, even before and after the actual trip. Very knowledgable and a kind, trustworthy man.
Special mention however has to go to my guide Yukumar. I met him in Lukla and before knowing who my guide was I seen his face smiling in and amongst the crowd of welcoming guides. I could instantly tell he was one of life's great people from his aura and I hadn't even spoke to him yet. I was delighted when he stood out from the crowd and so happened to be my guide. One of the nicest people I have ever met in my life. A heart of gold and as tough and friendly as they come.
Everyone we bumped into along the trail loved Yukumar and it was easy to see why. So tentative, always doing his absolute best for me and ofcourse always smiling. Bumped into alot of guides and companys along the trail but I felt I had the very best.
Dolakh, Yukumar is someone you should build your company around he is that special of a person and an awesome, knowledgeable guide.
Today, my final day in Kathmandu, I have spent the day with Yukumar hanging out in Kathmandu and have just had dinner with his wife and young boy. A friend for life.

Trek was excellent, our guide Nabin was friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. We spent an enjoyable week with him and appreciated his efforts to ensure our trek went smoothly and successfully. I would recommend asking for Nabin as a guide.
We also organised other activities around the trek (paragliding, rafting). We asked for particular companies who were recommended for safety and for access to particular rapids and were told this was organised and given paperwork for the chosen companies.
Instead at the last minute we were taken to different companies which, on later investigation, we discovered were cheaper.
The same situation occurred when travelling in cars or buses. What was written on the paperwork did not match the low standard of transportation.

I love Mountain Mart Trek! They are really good with the tours and very accommodating and very friendly. I commend them for fixing our trip transfer from the hike to Pokhara as there was a strike and from Pokhara to Chitwan where the airport had been shutdown for a maintenance and they gave us a private car. They fix our problems and we don't have to be stressed coz they solve it for us. They also inserted the paragliding activity and the manakana cable car. We will surely coming back to them. Really good service.

I am about 3 weeks late on this review but wanted to make sure I left it anyway. 3 weeks ago I took the 10-day helicopter EBC trek with Makar as our guide and I cannot say enough how great Makar was! He really made this whole trip amazing. He was always extremely friendly, helpful, and knowledgable. Always going above and beyond our expectations. I highly recommend using Mountain Mart for any other their treks. Even though I have one done one with them I am sure they are all just as good.
Mountain Mart.. you really have someone special in Makar! I hope you always take care of him like he always took care of us. Give this man a raise! :)

Wow! So what can I say. This trek was amazing. We only had a short time in Nepal and we pre booked the 5 day trek. It was part of my tick list of becoming 40, and this trek was everything and more that I wanted. There are lots of treks out there but I highly recommend Mountain Mart. We met lots of people out there on different treks and I was so chuffed that we used Mountain Mart - we definitely chose the premium company. Not only that, we feel we had the best guide Tilak. Tilak had all the advice we needed to ensure our trek was safe and provided us with the best local knowledge and ensured we were looked after from beginning to end. Everything throughout was just perfect. Tick list done and I’m so happy that Tilak, Mountain Mart and Dolakh (the owner) could be part of it! Thank you so, so much. We had a wonderful experience with mountain mart! our guide Yukumar and porter Ratna were amazing! They made sure we had everything we needed every night, and even accommodated small changes to our itinerary when asked. One of the reasons we chose mountain mart was because of the great reviews, and the price. They are very reasonable. I believe they provide different levels of accommodation, but I'm not sure its worth the money. we stayed in primitive but adequate guest houses. Once you get past a certain elevation, nothing is luxurious or comfortable, but you're not there for that I hope! the views more than make up for everything else. The food is all pretty good! you will eat a lot of the same things by the end of the trek, but for the most part, regardless of where you're staying, the dishes are pretty tasty! all in all, I'm glad we went with mountain mart! it was a great value for the money and overall, great experience.
My boyfriend and I had a life changing trip and can't wait to come back to Nepal again soon!

The owner Dolakh and our guide Bhoj were very accommodating when our international flight got severely delayed and we had to change our pick-up at the last minute many times. They were kind enough to re-assess our trekking itinerary and gave us options on how we can maximise our time on the mountains. During the entire trek, my friends and I had fell ill several times due to the altitude, food and weather but Bhoj was always on hand to assist us and gave us good advice on how to recover. We were never rushed to complete our trek and felt like there was good coordination by the guide. Our assistant guide, Dawa was also always ready to lead us in the trek and assist us when we require help. The porters, Chandra and Rudra were superheroes, always making sure our bags arrived in our rooms before us so that we could get comfortable once we arrived at the tea house. Overall, it was a tough but very enjoyable trek with the lead of such a knowledgeable and cheerful guide and company. I would highly recommend everyone to engage mountain mart if you plan on visiting Nepal for trekking!

My friends and I went on a 15 days trek to EBC and the Gokyo lakes via Cho La in Dec-19. I just wanted to commend our lead guide, Bhoj, on his professionalism, attentiveness and care throughout the trip. Although many of us felt unwell at different points of the trek, we still completed the trek and made it through Cho La, largely because of his, and also the entire party’s care and support.
Here’s also a shout out to our assistant guide, Ang Dawa Sherpa, who helped make the trip so much more comfortable and pleasant. And also to our porters Chandra and Rudra! It’s amazing how much strength and endurance these guys have.
This has altogether been an unforgettable experience and I thank everyone in the team for making this possible!

The trek was led by 2 guides: Bhoj and Dawa. Both of them are very helpful and friendly.
Bhoj, the head guide is very professional with deep expertise on the mountain terrains and conditions. He is well versed in the local customs and folklores, which provides deeper understanding on the local cultures. Furthermore, he is certified in medicinal provision. This served to be essential as we are often sick from AMS and the deep cold in the mountains.
Dawa, the vice guide always ensure the trekking experience is enjoyable. He supported us logistically and physically in times of needs and exhaustions.
The trek was also accompanied by 2 potters:Chandra and Rudra. Even though interaction among us is minimal, the potters are steadfast and friendly. They are able to cover all types of terrains (including slippery snowy sludge) with heavy loads.
In overall, my friends and I are satisfied with the services provided by the staff and the organising company: Mountain Mart. This trip definitely has left us a wonderful experience and lasting memories.

Well if you’re looking for a trekking company to use then this is the one! Dolakh is such a friendly and helpful man who answered all our questions promptly and whose company provided such a great level of service. Our five day trek was nothing short of superb and our guide, the brilliant Tilak, certainly looked after Olly and myself.
Tilak was attentive, extremely knowledgeable and, above all, great company.
The trek was done and dictated at our pace which was just what we wanted and Tilak ended up sharing in our overall enjoyment of the trip as we all got on brilliantly.
The lodges we stayed in were authentic and above all, clean and tidy. We opted for a hot shower in our room but be warned, it’s so cold the moment you step out of it!
Thank you Mountain Mart for such a memorable trip and a huge thank you to our buddy, Tilak, who looked after both of us and made sure I was ok every step of the way.
If we ever decide to do another trek we’ll be straight in touch with you Dolakh!

We really enjoyed our trek with Mountain Mart, with our guide Nabin and porter Bimal. They were very flexible with accommodating for cancelled flights to Lukla from weather and illnesses changing the ability to do the trek as planned. A beautiful trek and clear view of Everest made our trip to Nepal unforgettable.

We just completed our trek in the Everest region with our guide Lochan and it was incredible to say the least! He was very helpful, positive and attended to every one of our needs. Nothing was ever too hard for him and we were always greeted with a smile and a laugh every day of the trek. He was very knowledgeable of the region and we would recommend him and mountain mart treks to everyone visiting nepal! Thank you for making Nepal feel like home, we will be back!

From the get go, Mountain Mart where outstanding. Booked with the guys 6 months prior to the trek, gave me a heads up on how to prepare and what to pack etc.
Did a 12 day trek to Everest Base camp. The guide leader Markar was everything you could ask for. His English was fantastic, knowledge of the region second to none. He made the entire group safe and comfortable for the entire trek. Everyday we were greeted with breakfast and a smile, we would discuss the days trek with him and what we should expect. Genuine gentleman.
The company delivered everything as agreed, food, board, every evening our stats where checked for oxygen levels to make sure all in the group where safe.
I will be booking them again when I go back on another trek. Excellent company.

Well worth getting up early for this. The views were stunning. You can't see Everest but the rest of the snow capped Himalayas are fantastic. Guide and driver were very polite. We originally wanted to do the sunset trip but after checking the weather forecast we were advised to do sunrise for the best views. They were right. We had a clear day and the moon was still up when we arrived. Back in time for breakfast as well.

The company are great when booking I 100% recommend you request the guide Markar! He was the best guide we could have asked for. He knew when we needed a break, fabulous English, kept us motivated and ensured we were in good health checking our oxygen and heart rate every night. He knew so much information about the mountains around you including heights and stories. He made us laugh and by the end we became great friends with him. He made the trip!!

My wife and I had a wonderful & memorable 11 days (private & customized) trip to Nepal recently. Our itinerary was arranged by Mountain Mart Treks & Expedition (“MMT”).
From the moment we first contacted Dolakh, the owner of MMT, we knew that we are in safe hands & that we are going to have a great time! Dolakh was so quick to respond to all of our incessant queries. This being our first time going to Nepal & doing a mountain trek, we were somewhat concerned with the difficulty level & also our ability to trek. Dolakh was very detailed & assuring in his explanations to us. He even modified our trekking itinerary to suit our “capability”!
We had such an amazing & unforgettable trek from Ghandruk to Landruk, then from Pothana to Australian Camp & the next day from Australian Camp to Dhampus.
Dolakh assigned 2 great staff (Tilak & Pemba) to look after us from the time we touched down at Kathmandu airport until the day we bid farewell to them at the airport.
Tilak, our trekking guide was so kind & patient with us, always walking at our pace (which was very very slow🤣) without showing any signs of exasperation! He would always follow closely one of us who was the last along the trail to ensure that we were ok & safe! He is also very knowledgeable with all the names of the mountains at the Annapurna range & would take the trouble to explain & to point out to us, over & over again, which was which despite our difficulty in remembering the names😅! And during all of our meal stops, Tilak would ensure that our food is served on time, and would attend to all our needs; he really “pampered” us during the entire trek and was such a great company!
Pemba, our driver cum porter, was also absolutely incredible! He carried our luggage during the entire trek & drove us around & to all our destinations safely.
We would highly recommend Mountain Mart Treks & Expedition to anyone looking for a reliable company to arrange your itinerary in Nepal!
Again, thank you very much Dolakh, Tilak & Pemba for such a memorable and amazing trip! We hope to see you guys again in the near future !!

My friend and I just completed a 5 days Poon Hill Trek.
First we contacted Mountain Mart Trek two weeks before our trip to Nepal. We had a good impression towards MMT alreday from the beginning since a manager of Mountain Mart Trek Mr. Dolakh Thapa responted to our inquiry and questions very quickly and accuratly. He organized our trekking pakcage so smoothly.
Our guide Ram Bhandari welcomed us at the airport and took care of us even in Kathmandu preparing for coming Trek. He gave us a lot of useful advice before the Trek started
so that we could spend mountain life without problem. During our 5days trek he always made sure that we had freshly cooked meal, enough drinks, hot shower,etc...to made us happy. His frienlyness and charmingness attracted people around him. Thanks to his character we got more chances to interact with local people at the lodges and experience their culture too. He is a very proffessional guide and has a great passion to make his guests happy.
We had an awsome and confortable trek. Carrying less weight during the long trek is a must thing for us to accomplish our trek. It was great to have our porter Chitla with us!
I highly recommend to book with MMT. Ram Bhandari is the beat guide.

We just returned from this trek and it was the trip of a lifetime. We’re not regular trekkers and it was a good challenge each day. Our thoughtful guide Raju and porter/driver Pemba really made it fun and interesting. Some of the terrain can be difficult but they helped us on each step, and made the sometimes basic accommodation much better. Highly recommended!

We booked our 2 week trip to Nepal without doing much research and decided to do a little bit of everything. We did the Poon Hill trek with a Chitwan jungle safari.
Our guide Raju was amazing. He went above and beyond every day to make sure that we were okay. Doing all the little things like finding us extra blankets and customising our sightseeing excursions to be more to our tastes.
Our porter/driver, Pemba, made all the driving incredibly comfortable on the what should be scary roads of Nepal.
My only complaint was that there was too much food! I came to Nepal to loose weight!!!!
All the city hotels were very good and in good locations. On the trek all the ‘tea houses’ exceeded our expectations, and Raju definitely got us the best rooms by charming the owners.
We will definitely be back and use Mountain Mart again.

This is the first time I’ve been to Nepal and I’m so happy my family and I chose to trek with Mountain Mart! The founder of Mountain Mart, Dolakh, is very responsive and knowledgeable of the trekking world. Despite the time differences, he was always able to reply back very fast in whatever inquiries I had, be it big or small.
Everything was well planned out - accommodation, food, trek, timings. All we had to do was follow the schedule! And it was also very flexible!! If we wanted to eat at a different restaurant, or wake up slightly later for our next day of trek, it was allowed.
I must say, our guide Ram was probably the best we’ve ever had. We saw guides from other companies who left their customers behind to drink or didn’t bother to help carry their bags if they were tired, but Ram was none of that.
From Day 1, he ensured that we were well taken care of to the best of his ability. He always made sure that we were given the best accommodation and restaurant according to our taste bud (for my family, we needed halal food, and he sought to find those). He is very friendly, approachable and made jokes along the trek, which made it less painful for everyone as we trekked along.
If anyone has any fears/doubts about which trek package to get before going to Nepal, I would suggest choosing Mountain Mart! They are also quite affordable too! :) I can’t wait for my next trip with them! And I’ll definitely choose Ram as my guide again! Thank you Mountain Mart and Ram for the wonderful experience!

All of them are friendly and hardworking. From Dolak the Boss, Ram the guide and the porter name Sujan and Chitra. We have seen with our own eyes during that day about other guides treating their customers so regimental, some lazy to assist and the last one to reached at most areas and even unfriendly ones. We are so fortunate to choose Mountain Mart. Good job guys. Keep it up. I'll definitely recommend all my contacts to Mountain Mart

I am honestly surprised that our guide, Ram, did alot more than what i expected for a trek guide to do. He was like a Guardian Angel to my family and i, throughout the trek. He ensured that we were well fed and well taken care of.
Ram was very motivating to us, despite the difference in fitness level. He was able to help us overcome whatever challenges that came our way.
He was more than a trek guide to us, he is a lifeguide + lifeguard and on top all of that, i am proudly to call him my friend.
If i could describe our guide in 3 words, it would be; caring, loving and respectful.
Our porters were also amazing, as they helped to carry our bags and were very funny and sociable to us. We had a lot of funny moments together, that i will forever cherish.
Dolakh eased our worries as he was very informative and quick in making good + responsible decisions for us.
I am really glad that Ram was our guide and he stayed from the day we landed in Nepal, till the end. Could not have asked for more.
I would strongly recommend everyone to go with Mountain Mart and pick Ram as their guide. And he took a nice picture for my proposal.
PS: i miss Ram already. We will see each other again my friend. For ABC or EBC :)

This is one of the top if not the best trekking organiser in Nepal. The Manager/owner, Dolakh Thapa, is a very nice person, very accomodative and flexible in changing the trip plan at the last minute - i mean even when the trip has begun. Seven of us took the MardiHimal trekking for 10 days and we got 4 porters and 2 very experience guides. Ask for Prem Thapa and Ram Bhandari as guides. They speak fluent English and very knowledgeable about the mountain and take care of all our needs during the trip including ordering foods, assure water is available at the toilet, etc. Post trekking, they still accompanied us to do sight seeing in Kathmandu without charge. They voluntary do this as we developed friendship during the trek. Our porters also very nice and help us alot if we found difficulties hiking in narrow snowing path. They always smiles in their typical nepaleese face even though carrying our heavy loads (at least 30kg or more per person). We are very satisfied and will come back again next year to do Everest Base Camp trek with this trekking organiser, Mountain Mart Treks Expeditions. Thank you Dolakh, Prem, Ram, and our porters Bishal, Sudip, Sujan and Prakash. You have made our trip very memorable.

When I decided to do this adventure, there are a lot of doubts coming to my mind : Will I able to do it? Is it safe ? Is it okay for an amateur trekker like myself ? What if ..? But I finally did it, I and my group (7 of us) were high school mates who are not young anymore. Dolakh, the owner of Mountain Mart was so friendly, cooperative, and professional. He was so accommodative to our enquiries.. even up to the last minutes changes. The team, consists of 2 guides : Prem and Ram Bandhari who were very good and helpful, plus 4 porters : Bishal, Sudip, Prakash and Sujan who were very friendly, smiling all the time and amazingly strong. We became close friends since day 1 since they were so proactive, communicative and handled everything thoroughly and professionally. I would like to express my highest appreciation to Ram who became my personal guide, who always accompanied me along the way to the upper view and could enjoy my musics together. He was so caring, kind, patient, attentive, respectful and showing leadership, he made my challenging trek much easier, manageable and could be my personal photographer as well. I do recommend Mountain Mart to be your organizer for you adventure in Nepal. We definitely will go back for ABC or EBC trek someday soon, and hope we could have the same team again.
