Awesome adventure "Annapurna Panorama trek"
This has been a most memorable trip to Tsum valley and Manuslu circuit with Sudip. I first met him in 2017 on the Annapurna circuit. Sudip was a fun companion on the trip with his Nepalese sense of humour and good wit. He has attention for detail and the trip was a smooth transition during trying times. Sudip had shown care, concern and compassion at all times and the trek was an awesome experience. Many thanks to Sudip who has a passion for trekking and Dolakh of Mountainmart treks for always being available.I plan to continue trekking with then in the future. Incredible EBC 12-day trek
Just completed the 12-day EBC trek, what an absolutely incredible and unique experience exploring the Himalayas. I trekked alone with my guide and porter Bishal, who went above and beyond to ensure my safety, comfort, and trekking preferences were all met! He made sure I acclimatized well by adjusting to my pace, handled all the logistics when we reached the lodge at the end of every day, and was always proactive to ask if I needed anything.
Booking the trip was an easy and smooth process as well, overall very professional impression from Mountain Mart. Highly recommend for your next Nepal trek!

We have planned this trek for 2 years, but had to postpone several times due to Covid19 restrictions. During all this time, we stayed in touch with Dolakh, who gave us regular updates with respect to the situation in Nepal.
At last, we managed to do it in March- April 22. Thanks to MMT it became an amazing experience!
Everything was perfectly organized and even some very short-term changes/ whishes were carried out either by Dolakh or by the best guide ever- Tilak.
Tilak tirelessly took care of all our needs and wishes (like second blanket in each lodge for my freezing friend), continuously monitoring our speed (in order to prevent high altitude sickness) and oxygen content in our blood. He tried to make the best out of every situation in order to provide us the best possible comfort (rooms with the best view or in the quietest part of the lodges) and even adjusted the initial schedule in order to make our life easier. Each evening we had a briefing of what to expect the next day and if we had some special wishes, he always considered them. As I’m quite curious person asking a lot of questions about landscape, flora and fauna, I was very happy to get almost all of them answered and some funny stories on top😉.
Altogether, it was wonderful adventure enabled by a very professional team, which I highly recommend.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trek
We completed the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek in April 2022. We did this as a group of five friends - none of us had experience trekking before. For reference we’re all 18-20 years old. The trek itself was beautiful with the mountains, but the experience was made by the team that took us. Our guide was Ram Bhandari - he is a local Nepalese man with a young family. Ram is very attentive - everyday he would provide us with a chocolate break, he would buy us fresh fruit every day for after dinner, which he would arrange himself. Ram is also an incredible cook and made the best momos and chicken curry we had on our entire trip. Ram would always offer us more food and wouldn’t eat until we had all finished; he would also teach us about local culture throughout our 10 days trekking. Every evening he’d explain the plans for the next day and check we were all ok. He was very accommodating for the different confident and fitness levels in the group and made everyone feel capable. Our sherpas were Sujan, Chitra and Thakur who were also very helpful and have a difficult job of carrying the bags all day, they were always there in the morning to collect our bags when we were ready and were always arrived at the hotel at the on time with our bags as well. Mountain Mart have a brilliant team working for them and Dholak should be very proud of the work they carry out. Thank you Ram and team for being so accommodating, we could not recommend them enough.

Amazing Everest Base Camp April Trek
Just came back from the 13 day Everest base camp trek. It is the most beautiful hike I have ever done, and nothing will parallel the experience of seeing several >8000 m peaks. We highly recommend Mountain Mart and especially our guide, Tilak and porter, Gevan. Tilak went out of his way several times to make us feel comfortable on the hike. He is a very experienced trekking guide, speaks English very well, and knows all of the trails and mountains as if they were his home. In addition, he is very knowledgeable and good at explaining the history of Mt Everest and local Sherpa culture. He was always prepared to give good advise on everything from the best food, to hiking, to altitude sickness. Gevan was a very kind and patient porter, and made sure to adapt to our speed on the hikes we did together. Both were very enthusiastic, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide and porter. We had a problem free hike to base camp, both of us are relatively fit with past above 14k feet hiking experiences but are by no means very fit or very experienced at hiking. We opted to take the helicopter down after reaching base camp, for comfort, as we would have succeeded in the return trip. It was very easy to make this re-accommodation with mountain mart.

Adventure of a Lifetime "Annapurna Sanctuary Trek" 
It is rare for me to write reviews however the fantastic past 2 weeks spent trekking around Nepal warrants an exception. Mountain Mart Treks (MMT) from start to finish were simply outstanding. Always attentive to any requests we may have had, MMT ensured that a group of 5 completely inexperienced trekkers got the most from every day in Nepal, organising interesting tours, quick transport and superb accomodation.

Whilst it would be easy to wax lyrical about the organisation of the trip, for me, where the company really stands out is the people involved within it. From the owner Dholak, who answered any questions or doubts we may have had at the beginning, our guide, Ram Bhandaru who provided us with information throughout and finally our porters Sujan, Chitra and Thakur who spent tireless days carrying our kit from one stop to another, all people involved in MMT were enthusiastic and extremely accomodating. Ram, for I think all of us, deserves particular praise and truly went out of his way every day to ensure we had the best possible experience. Providing motivation at any points we found difficult, finding the best places to stay and eat and often cooking for us himself he was honsetly exceptional and made what was always going to be a good trip great.

It is diffiuclt to praise the company enough for all their fantastic work so instead I would just like to thank everyone involved. For anyone looking for an advenuture of a lifetime, superbly organised and filled with a number of wonderful people look no further than MMT!

Incredible Annapurna Sanctuary Trek
Just arrived back from the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek which I completed as a group of 5 friends in April 2022 and had the most incredible time thanks to Mountain Mark Treks, our guide Ram Bhandari and our porters Sujan, Chitra and Thakur.

Ram Bhandari made sure we had the most phenomenal trip by always going above and beyond his duties. He would ensure that every night we would have the best rooms with the best views. While trekking he would always provide us with chocolate breaks to keep energy high during the day. He ensured that everyone in the group was comfortable, despite differing levels of fitness and would always make sure he had provided us with enough water for the next part of the trek. Ram Bhandari would always take our order himself, breakfast, lunch and dinner and would always make sure we had eaten enough food. He even cooked some of our food for us while we were away- which tasted incredible! After dinner, Ram Bhandari would provide the group with plates of fruit in amazing patterns! Ram had great communication with us and would always explain the plans for the next day of trekking, making sure everyone was always happy and comfortable . During the day, while trekking, Ram would teach us about Nepalese culture which we all found very interesting.

Ram Bhandari was considerate, friendly, spoke great English and payed excellent attention to detail which is why I couldn’t recommend him enough as a guide with Mountain Mart Treks!

Everest Three Passes Trek
I just finished the 3 Passes Trek with Bhoj and Mountain Mart, and wanted to say how wonderful he was! It was a challenging trek for me but he was very encouraging and patient, which I greatly appreciated. Every evening we would go over the next day’s plan so we knew what to expect. We never had to wait for a room once we arrived at our next stop, everything was already set up. He is very knowledgeable about the Everest region and it’s obvious he loves what he does. When the weather wasn’t cooperating he arranged helicopter transportation for us back to Kathmandu. His smile and laugh are contagious, I would love to take a tour with him again! Ten stars Bhoj, thank you for a memorable experience!

We did the Everest three passes trek with mountain mart. The trek itself is beautiful and rewarding.

The best part of our experience with Mountain mart was our guide Bohj. He was a pleasure to trek with. Always positive, smiling, helpful, and a great sense of humor. If I book another adventure with Mountain mart I will request to get Bohj as a guide.

Annapurna Sanctuary Trekking 
In April 2022, we completed the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. This consisted of 10 full days trekking which were challenging but highly rewarding.

When we arrived in kathmandu we were greeted by a MMT associate who transported us to a nice hotel in Thamel. We then had a couple of nights in kathmandu where a city tour was organised for us and we were given time to prepare for the trek. We then flew to pokhara before starting. We started off in the lower parts of Annapurna region, passing through small villages each with their own culture. We gradually made our way up through the mountains until we reached Annapurna Base Camp on day 6, at 4130m high. We then descended back through the valleys before arriving back in Pokhara. Here we got the tourist bus back to Kathmandu.

The trek had some incredible views (most notably at Poon Hill) and we met some lovely people along the way and were cooked some amazing food.

Our guide was Ram Bhandari - without whom I truly believe would have been less memorable. He is a local Nepalese man with a young family who works incredibly hard to ensure his guests have a wonderful time. He takes time to ensure every member of the group is happy, comfortable and enjoying themselves (his favourite saying being: “if you’re happy, then I’m happy!” He phoned hotels in advance to ensure we had the nicest rooms with the best views of the mountains, he took orders for food, cooked food himself for us, bought chocolate and fresh fruit for us daily and lots more.
By the end of the trip I think it’s safe to say that ram was more of a friend than a guide and Im sure we will stay in touch

Special thanks must also go to our porters: Sujan, Chitra, Thakur who were all very smiley and did a great job carrying our bags.

Overall if you’re looking for a place to trek, I would highly recommend the Annapurna region but definitely make sure you book it with MMT - I can guarantee you won’t regret it!

Mera Peak Climbing

Mera Peak Climbing 
This was a Romsey Climbers (RoCs) club (UK based climbing and mountaineering club) trip to Nepal in April 2022 to climb Mera Peak. The trip was originally scheduled for April 2020 but due to the COVID pandemic was postponed twice until it eventually took place in April 2022. MMT&E had been recommended by a club member who had used them several times before and sang their praises highly.

Summary: Mountain Mart Treks provided a first-class, very professional and flexible service. I would have absolutely no hesitation using them again (which I hope to do) or recommending them very highly to anyone who would like to trek or climb in Nepal.

I base this assessment on a number of factors (there are more, but these are the main ones), not necessarily in order of importance.

Great communications. Very rapid responses to all enquiries including the need to delay the trip due to COVID restriction. Communications (email) with MMT were always responded to very quickly which was reassuring given the situation and my total ignorance of trekking in Nepal.

An inclusive package that removed all of the risks involved in organising a trek in an unknown country. The package covered all expenses (apart from a couple of meals in Kathmandu), permits and passes. This was a major benefit as all we had to focus on was the trek, the climb and the fantastic scenery. Some other teams we met on the way had to work out the costing for each stay which looked a little messy.

A first-class support team. Trekking Guide (Lochan), Climbing Guide (Pemba) and Porter (Dawa) were incredibly supportive and I would certainly like to use them again for any future trip to Nepal if they were available. On occasions I found the trek physically demanding, and certainly the trek up the glacier and then on summit day were full-on. I never felt pressured to go faster than I could manage (which on some occasions was not that fast!) and felt that my limitations were always taken into account.

Flexibility. During the trek to Mera Peak the itinerary was tuned to match our level of acclimatisation and performance (e.g., an extra day in Khare but then missing out Mera Base Camp and ascending directly to Mera High Camp). When we returned to Lukla we were facing nearly a week in Kathmandu before our flight home (due to cancellations and changes to flight times by our long-haul flight provider, nothing to do with MMT&T). Lochan suggested an excursion to Namche Bazar which we readily took up. This added what was effectively a second mini trek into the schedule and provided a fascinating comparison with the Mera Peak experience. Highly recommended if you have time on your hands!

Perhaps, far more to the point, it was a very enjoyable trip that mixed a lot of hard work and hard breathing with laughter, amazing scenery and wonder at the incredible Nepalese environment, all made possible by Dolakh and the MMT&T team.

Mera Peak Climbing

Mera Peak Climbing 
I have just returned from Mera Peak on a trip originally scheduled for April 2020, but rearranged several times due to the pandemic. Firstly I should say that Mountain Mart were very flexible with the rearrangement, allowing us to postpone repeatedly until a time when reduced restrictions allowed the trip to go ahead. Throughout this period they were always very quick to respond to any emails (always well within 24 hours, but usually almost immediate). This was very reassuring during the uncertain times.

From arrival in Kathmandu, Mountain Mart took care of almost everything. We were collected from the airport and taken to a very nice hotel where we had a couple of days to relax and explore Thamel before the trek itself. Internal flights to Lukla and transport to and from the airport were also already arranged and included in the overall cost of the trek.

The trek itself was an incredible experience. Neither my friend or I had ever been to Nepal before, and neither of us had any real experience of that sort of altitude (although both have UK winter climbing experience). Our trekking guide (Lochan), climbing guide (Pemba) and porter (Dawa) very quickly did a very good job of assessing our abilities, and the trek was set to our pace. Within our itinery there was flexibility to allow juggling around rest/acclimatisation days to suit our pace and give us the best chance of making the summit. It was very hard work at times, particularly the long day up to High Camp (we missed out Base Camp) and the summit day itself, but absolutely stunning. We had a perfect summit day with incredible views in all directions, including to Everest.

Our accommodation for most of the trek was a mixture of tea houses and lodges (and one night in a tent at High Camp), and it felt like we were getting the best available. We were very well fed with really good choice at all meal times (including dessert!), and there was no shortage of tea (all covered in the cost of the trek, which kept things hassle free).

Our team of Lochan, Pemba and Dawa were excellent throughout. All were clearly very experienced, very good at judging our needs and assessing our abilities, and really good fun people to share the experience with. It was their expertise that got us to the summit and back safely, and I wouldn't hesitate to team up with them again on the next adventure.

Due to our flight scheduling we had time left at the end of the trek to tag on a few days on the Everest Base Camp route (from Lukla up to Namche Bazar and back). This was all arranged at short notice by Mountain Mart, again with very good accommodation and food, and the good company of Lochan and Dawa.

I fully intend to use Mountain Mart again in the (hopefully not to distant) future - just need to decide what to do next!

Recently, I had the pleasure of completing the Annapurna Sanctuary trek with my friends. This was quite daunting as it was the first time I had travelled outside of Europe and my first proper trek. Despite these concerns, the trip was a success, and I can owe that completely to the team at Mountain Mart Treks.

Throughout, the company worked hard to ensure the trip was easy and enjoyable for us all, covering travel as well as a tour around Kathmandu and booking brilliant accommodation. The owner of the company, Dholak, also made sure to meet us personally and taking us through every step of the trek and answering any questions we had. A notable example of the lengths Mountain Mart Treks went to help us along the way, is that when two members of my group were having issues with obtaining an Indian Visa, Mountain Mart Treks changed the time of our flight to Pokhara so that they could attend an interview.

The trek was an incredible, once in a lifetime experience. It offered amazing views, delicious food, an insight into a unique culture and a great sense of accomplishment. Despite being difficult at parts, every day was enjoyable and achievable. This ease and enjoyment can be entirely credited to our porters Sujan, Chitra and Thakur (who worked extremely hard and carried the main bulk of our bags the entire trip - around 30-40kg), and especially our guide Ram Bhandari.

Ram has been an exceptional guide, doing everything he could to make our trip enjoyable. Throughout the day, Ram would provide ample rest, resupply water and keep us motivated (thanks to his never-ending supply of chocolate!). Any questions we had on life in the mountains he would answer and offer personal anecdotes to give a nuanced picture of Nepalese life and culture. My favourites being teaching us the meaning of the different mountain names or showing us some of the tasty wild berries available on the various paths. Ram would also offer advice on the best food to have and often head into the kitchen himself to cook some of the best Momo and curries our group had ever had. Even after we had finished tea Ram would offer us fresh fruit, such as bananas, apples, pomegranates and oranges which were all displayed in incredible patterns - another example of the care Ram put into helping us through our trip. Ram made sure we were well fed before starting his own meal. This was a common trend throughout the whole trip, Ram always puts his guests first.

The accommodation along the route was also fantastic. Ram always ensured that the views from the hostels were incredible, offering alternative places to stay if the views there were better. These changes were always discussed as a group beforehand with Ram always making it clear what we would be doing the next day. This included the changes in plans, but it also included wake up times so that we could watch the sunrise as well as planning the timings of lunch and chocolate breaks.

Overall, this trip has been perfect, and I will always remember my time in Nepal fondly. It has been the best holiday I have ever taken, and I seriously recommend others to visit Nepal and embark on a trek. You will not regret it. Of course, if you are to embark on a trek, make sure to use Mountain Mart Treks, and especially ask for Ram Bhandari, he will not fail to make your trip an unforgettable one.

Everest Three Passes Trek 
We did the 3 passes trek with Mountain mart. It was one of the most spectacularly scenic trips with great views of Everest and some of the wonders of the Himalayas. Our guide Makar really made the trip with lots of really helpful information and we didn’t stop laughing from start to finish. The porters Bisal and Pasang were great fun too. It is hard to express in words what an amazing trip I had, breath taking scenery, deep soul searching and new friends. We have just completed the 4 day Poon Hill Trek and it was everything we hoped for. Our guide Prem excelled in every way from explaining things, organising our meals and accommodation and making it fun along the way when at times it was tough! Our porter Prakash was also very friendly. The trek was organised through Dolakh who we met in Kathmandu before departing and he was suitably informative and ensured a good organisation throughout, including delivery of our t-shirts to our hotel at the end of the trek. Went on a private trek to Poon Hill and Annapurna Base Camp. What a great service - everything was so well organised. Communication between myself and Dolakh both before and during the trip was excellent.
My guide, Sudip, was excellent - going above and beyond to ensure that I had a good time. He did a great job of ensuring that the lodges were able to cater to my dietary requirements which was a great relief! He was available to assist with so much more than just guiding whether it be removing the occasional bug from my room, encouraging cattle out of the way or taking the occasional photo at particularly scenic points. I frequently was fortunate to have great accommodation with sublime views thanks to Sudip's knowledge of the lodges.
It's clear that everyone puts in a lot of work at Mountain Mart to ensure that a great trip is had.

From the start mountain mart have been in constant contact keeping us up to date with the trek.
Once we arrived in Kathmandu they couldn’t have been more attentive.
Once we arrived on the tour our guide Prem was superb, full of local and mountain knowledge.
He helped make sure we didn’t suffer from AMS with tips and helpful facts.
The best thing of all was we had great fun along the trail which made it feel so much easier, laughing and joking in between factual conversations about the mountains and local ways.
I couldn’t recommend this company highly enough.

1. Poon Hill-Ghorepani was guided by Nabin with porter Durga. Nice friendly team, Nabin is easy going and a bundle of laughs. The trek was easy-moderate and tea houses comfortable. Unfortunately we never made it to poon hill due to the wet weather so it was a letdown. In fact we emailed MMT weeks before arriving to ask about the weather and was told to expect rain as it is after monsoon but not mentioned that there is a possibility we couldn’t reach poon hill due to bad weather. On first day of the trek Nabin advised us it is very likely due to the weather we may not get the views mentioned in the itinerary. Of course very disappointing to hear and I believe we could make other choices to take other treks if aware of how weather affected this particular itinerary. Nonetheless Nabin did his best, it was a nice trek except the lack of Mountain Views and weather is nothing within anyone’s control here. A plus is the quietness and peace at the guest houses due to off season. Some minor issues like missing hot water shower and blankets at two guest houses we stayed at but we didn’t complain nor let this affect us. Food is always plentiful. We also appreciate Durga easily carried our load of 15kg through the whole journey.

2. We had several days In Kathmandu after the trek and did 3 more day tours with MMT, as Nabin and Dolakh usually take the opportunity to remind us a few times they could offer us sightseeing. Kathmandu city tour we hired the driver only, overall an easy one to do though driver was 45mins late and no one informed so we were upset to be waiting without information. I almost cancelled and decided to take just the public taxi however Nabin helped us coordinate the communication finally so we had the tour done. Driver Thempa (spelling?) is also a nice guy very serious about his work and doesn’t speak much but knows his roads.
Namo Buddha and Nagarkot were 2 day hikes led by Tilak, and we enjoyed that very well. Tilak is a very well seasoned guide and knows his facts and figures and geography and answered all our curiosities about other treks and ABC and EBC, also a genuinely considerate and humble guide we had a really good time for the last 2 days thanks to him. we would be happy to have him on subsequent long treks if we were to come back with MMT again. It was not the best season for any high scenic views despite making several hikes the Mountain View’s were elusive so both guides felt rather apologetic about that. Again it is weather issue not company issue. Overall the guys from MMT who went with us on our hikes and trek knows what they are doing and know their stuff, and takes care of their clients from pick up to drop off and along the way. We even got a very nice and warm send off at the airport. On the office side the coordination could be slightly better nonetheless it was a very good experience with MMT as we constantly felt we are in the good hands of highly experienced professionals who want clients to leave with an excellent impression of Nepal.

Experience of a lifetime! Bishal Kulung from Mountain Mart was absolutely fantastic; it was like trekking with a long lost friend! I learnt so much about the Khumbu region and completed my dream of EBC + Chola La Pass + Gokyo Lakes and Renjo La Pass thanks to Bishal’s expert guidance! From the first email to the owner Dolakh I knew Mountain Mart was the right company! I researched and contacted 7 companies and Mountain Mart came out as a clear winner for quality and value for money! Amazing trek, amazing company, amazing people! Highly recommended!

Genuinely could not recommend these guys enough, 10/10. If you’re going to base camp, it’s gotta be with Kumar Bhoj. Amazing knowledge, friends with everyone and looks after you every step of the way. 4 of us all made it to base camp and back despite cancelled flight to Lukla, and no one got altitude sickness.

What an incredible experience. I did EBC with Ram and he was the absolute best guide I could ask for. He adjusts to your pace and his English is impeccable. He's humble and a hard worker. This trek was always on my bucket list and Mountain Mart made it easy. From the airport pickup, to the hotel (which you leave the luggage you do not need for EBC, so a reputable one to keep my laptop,etc. was important to me), to the food, to the trek. It was seamless. I highly recommend a guide to learn about local culture and nuggets that you wouldn't get otherwise.

Thank you for organising such a fantastic trip at such short notice.
Nabin and Durga looked after my sister and I really well. I was unfortunately unwell for a few days but they altered the pace so that i could complete the full circuit.

We chose to do this adventure at the end of Sept which meant we got glimpses of the scenery during the day and amazing views at sunset. However, it meant the circuit was not as busy and we often walked for hours without seeing anyone else.

I would definitely recommend Mountain Mart as a very professional and friendly company.
