We were recommended Mountain Marts by one of our friends and we’re so glad that we were. From the initial point of contact, Dolakh was brilliant in responding to us quickly by email to answer our questions about different trekking itineraries and the cost of them. We were originally going to do the 7 day Langtang trek but after meeting with Dolakh in the Mountain Mart offices in Kathmandu we decided to extend the trek and do the 14 day Langtang - Gosaikunda trek, and boy we were pleased we did!
Our guide Makar and porter Durga were both excellent. Makar was a fantastic trekking guide and was clearly the most experienced guide on the trek (other guides asked him for advice frequently along the way!). He was extremely knowledgeable about trekking in Nepal and never needed to look at a map once. He was great to talk to on the trek and always kept us motivated too. Durga was also a fantastic, never faltering, porter and was an absolute legend for carrying our bags on the trek. They were both very accommodating to us and saw to our every need without being over the top. We all had a good laugh every evening after dinner and played a range of card games – our favourite was Dumball that Makar taught us.
The trek itself was awesome. The itinerary was great as it gave us a nice mix of some longer and some shorter days trekking so we could rest and re-charge when we needed to. We had to try not be too smug when meeting independent trekkers who would try to do too much in a day or miss a lunch spot etc. The scenery was spectacular and we enjoyed seeing the different views in Langtang and in Gosaikunda. The teahouses were also great to stay in (though sometimes they were very cold – bring a good down coat with you to keep warm!). We were often greeted by a friendly Nepalese family who cooked freshly prepared meals for everyone in the dining room which were warmly welcomed after a day’s trekking. We also enjoyed stopping at the teahouses for lunch and having what became our staple lunch fuel whilst on the trek, Dhal Bhat (Dhal Bhat Power, 24 Hour!).
Overall we had a brilliant time on the trek with Mountain Marts and we would highly recommend them to everyone. We would love to come back to Nepal sometime in the future and we would definitely use Mountain Marts again.
Luckily we managed to finish our trek and get back to Kathmandu before Covid-19 really kicked off but sadly we did have to change our plans and fly back to the UK 10 days early. We hope that Covid-19 passes as soon as possible and opens the world back up for tourism so people can travel again and see how wonderful Nepal is.

We did 10 days - Mardi Himal trek in March 2020 with Mountain Mart Treks, they were very professional and well organised. Our guide Prem and Ram were fantastic.
It was truly an unforgettable experience, I will definitely come back again for Everest Base Camp trip soon...

We did a 12 days EBC Trek on October 2021 in a private group of 3. It was a great experience! The trek was perfectly organized, the lodges were good and clean, according to our requests, meals always good and with several options, and we had an amazing team: our guide Bhoj did everything to make us feel at home, he was available 24/7 and took care of all our needs. The assistants, among which Milan, were also nice and super helpful. The team gave us great comfort in challenging times (especially at high altitude, when we were tired and the trek was more difficult). Needless to say, the trek itself was SUPERB! Amazing and varied landscapes, and the emotion to get to EBC was unbelievable!!!! We were impressed by these professionals and loved all local people we met during our stay in Solukhumbu region.
Thanks for making our experience unforgettable! ❤
We definitely recommend Mountain Mart to all people willing to make it to EBC and ti enjoy the Himalaya!

This year we were able to make Pappaji’s, my 75 year old father-in-law’s, dream of climbing a big mountain in Nepal come true when we summited Mera Peak October 8, 2021.
Dolakh at Mountain Mart made it possible by arranging the best possible team for our ascent.
First, Lochan, our fantastic guide, joined us for our 3rd adventure on the mountain (EBC 3 high passes and Island Peak in the past). He’s an experienced guide that we know and trust more than anyone on the mountain. He’s led us through some tough times and always gotten us through with great decision making and follow through. He’s the best of the best. He’s an absolute joy to be in the mountains with, his enthusiasm is infectious.
Second, Dawa, whom had been our porter in the past, joined us as climbing support and Pappaji’s personal assistant. He took every step with Pappaji, from Lukla, to the top of Mera Peak, and all the way back to Lukla. He was patient and caring with Pappaji. He and our climbing guide Pemba came up with a harness to work with Pappaji on the mountain. Additionally they fashioned custom rain gear for him. This climb would not be possible without Dawa’s patient assistance of Pappaji. His commitment was unparalleled.
Thirdly, the support team. On the mountain Pemba, our climbing guide, made sure that safety was top priority. He took his time showing the us climbing and safety techniques. The camp cook was especially helpful his year too. He was always there when we needed an extra hand and helped with Pappaji whenever asked. Sonam, our porter is Dawa’s son, and like his father helped us out from start to finish.
It’s extraordinary to get a 75 year old to the top of Mera Peak and back down safely. The level of coordination of talent at Mountain Mart is extraordinary. Having a great team means getting the right people in the best positions. It all came together this year with Mountain Mart!
We’ve come to care a great deal for everyone that we know at Mountain Mart. We’re always happy to meet up with Dolakh, Lochan and Dawa, and sad to say goodbye. You can have a great time and get to know wonderful people in Nepal when you book with Mountain Mart.

I've known Mountain Mart Owner Dolakh for more than three years. He runs an excellent company. In my opinion, Ram is one of their best guides. Ask for him on your next trek. He is very attentive, understands English very well, and and is very organized and prompt. Ram is absolutely the best guide you could ask for. I recently finished the Manaslu Trek (October 2021). I had an amazing experience! Pream is also an excellent guide. He is very experienced and very likeable. Stop your searching and go with Mountain Mart. You'll have no regrets. Dolkah's company takes care of everything, so you can just enjoy your time in Nepal.

Me and my wife have completed a 12 day (we took the helicopter down/back from Gorak-Shep) trekking expedition to the Everest Base Camp with this company.
We are seasoned travelers, 3-5 international trips/year for 15 years.
The company did an AMAZING,OUTSTANDING job in maintaining communication, organizing and guiding this trip.
The owner, Mr Thapa Dolakh was extremely prompt in answering all questions prior to the trip.
The price is comparable to other trekking Nepalese companies BUT some of the “perks” included such as the provision of very large duffel bags and especially providing treated, decontaminated water throughout the ENTIRE trip 😳😳😳 are INVALUABLE in my opinion.
Mr Thapa, was willing (if we were in a pinch) to exchange a small dollar amount at a MUCH better rate then any other money exchange venue. He is an extremely alert, customer service oriented, accommodating and flexible individual that can and is willing to change/re-do an itinerary for the customer’s best interest !!
He made sure that we got our Covid test at a local hospital prior to departure and had a city tour with transportation to the airport at the conclusion of our trip.
Our porter, Dev, a very strong individual, was extremely nice, pleasant and ALWAYS willing to help us during some difficult/dangerous parts of the trek. He carried an extra duffel bag (we brought too much stuff with us).
Our guide, Tilak, a very, very very kind and seasoned professional was absolutely amazing !! Good organizer, explaining every aspect of the itinerary, ALWAYS, ALWAYS willing to help me during the difficult parts of the trek, carrying our water bottles, making sure that we had enough water and we drank enough and were taking our Diamox pills if needed.
Altogether, we were very impressed and grateful for the service we received from this company.

What a great trip. We embarked on a 16 day Manaslu Trek. Mountain Mart took care of every detail. From the time getting to Nepal to leaving to getting Covid tests, everything was taken care of. At a time where travel is difficult and there are lots of things to worry about, Mountain Mart made the whole process very easy. What a great and relaxing (but strenuous) vacation. I would not delay any travel due to Covid. Mountain Mart takes care of everything.
Now for Trek. It was epic. Our guides Ram & Prim were awesome. They were Always well prepared, made sure we stayed at the most convenient locations and kept us safe through some harrowing times with the unusual rainfall. Ram & Prim were very knowledgeable about the area. Knew local history, mountain ranges and did a great job locating wildlife (blue sheep, mountain goats, otters, monkeys) that made the trek that much more enjoyable. The porters, Om & Guitra worked very hard. Our bags were always nearby and they did a great job keeping them dry during all the rain (3 days straight). I couldn’t be happier. Can’t wait to go back and explore other regions. I would definitely ask for Ram & Prim to guide any future expeditions. If you’re exploring Nepal, do not go with any other company. Mountain Mart is the best by far.

I am a 61 year old woman. I'm relatively active but I was unsure if I had the endurance for the Everest Base Camp hike. My husband went 3 years ago and had a great enough experience with Mountain Mart that he wanted to use them again. We were also able to get the same guide, Makar Tamang. Makar has great English skills and is really knowledgeable about the region, the wildlife, vegetation and, of course, the mountains. He assured me I could do it. We kept a good pace meaning up with the other hikers, but slower than the porters. (They are amazing.) Makar took our oxygen levels each evening to be sure we were physically ok. Best of all, I made it! Makar has a fun personality as well as being caring. Our group was always laughing. We had great card games in the tea houses along the way. A great guide really helps on an expedition such as this.
We had another guide, Gorkha. He is cheerful and lots of fun too. They are very respectful and watch out for their cargo, (us). We had such an enjoyable time with our guides.
Dolakh is the owner of Mountain Mart. He was great at arranging transportation from the airport to our hotel and back and forth many times. He helped us jump through the Covid testing requirements. He knew about the hotels in the area and helped us choose a lovely spot. He helped arrange tours in Kathmandu.

This is my second trip with MountainMart and it was as spectacular as the first. My wife and I hiked the Manaslu trek in October 2021 and I had previously done the Everest Base Camp trek with MountainMart a few years previously. This group is outstanding. They take care of you from the moment you make contact to the moment you leave the country. No "I didn't know I would have to do/pay for that" surprises. Both times they were fantastic. I met Ram on my Everest trip and specifically asked for him on the Manaslu trip. He was fantastic both times. We also met Pream on this trip as the other guide (they always have at least one in the front of the group and one in the back to make sure no one wanders off). I would highly recommend both of these guides. Actually, Dolakh (the owner of Mountain Mart) makes sure that your experience is top notch throughout the process, from guides, to accommodations, to food recommendations, to vehicles, to gear. You're not going to find a better group to travel with. I know that was my biggest fear for my first trek...not knowing which group I could trust with all of the details. I read reviews and landed on MountainMart. I'm sure glad I did. I can recommend them without reservation!

Just finished up a fantastic EBC trek. Can't say enough about Mountain Mart and their guide service. Makar Tamang was our main guide and made our trek into a 5+ star trip! This was my second EBC trek. Comparing it to other treks and also seeing how guides from other outfits treated their customers as we trekked (many were very good), we can honestly say Makar is the best guide in the business. His English skills are superb. His knowledge of the mountains and culture is extraordinaire. He is always upbeat and positive. We had so much fun with him and our assistant guide Gorka Tamang, (who is also very funny and friendly.) Our porters, Buddha and Mila were also very courteous and nice. Except for the one torrential down pour during our acclimation day in Namche Bazaar, the weather was perfect! This is a very unique time to do EBC or the Annapurna circuit. This is normally the peak of the busy season, but with COVID, the trails are quiet and beautiful. If you have a chance to trek this fall in Nepal, all I can say is DO IT!!!! Dolakh, the owner of Mountain Mart is SO good at putting together just the right custom trek to meet your needs. I would not hesitate in using them for all your Nepal trekking and expedition needs.

I made it to Everest Base Camp and loved the entire trip. Mountain Mart played a pivotal role in making this such a great adventure. The guides they found for us made all the difference in the world.
Our guide, Makar Tamang, is remarkable! I can tell he knew what makes a great adventure even better. He knew every mountain and its specifications, he knew all the local culture and customs and explained them so clearly, he knew what to suggest and what to avoid, he completely understands customer service, his English was amazing, he knew all the right people to get the special orders or service, and he knew the little extras that made it special. Most impressive is who he is, Makar is kind, patient, humble, helpful, FUN, bright, eager, careful, encouraging, and consistent.
Gorka Tamang, our assistant guide was always out front keeping the perfect pace and making sure we were safe and enjoyed the journey. Both the guides and my son had a blast together laughing, singing, sharing and playing around.
There is no way to perfectly describe the views you will see on this journey from the lush green and magical waterfalls of the lower section to the powerful majestic views of the mountains and vistas of the upper section.
This trip will change your life and this country and its people will steal a piece of your soul.

We went on the Poon Hill Sunrise Trek (4 days) with Mountain Mart. We were taken on a magnificent tour of the mountains surrounding Pokhara by our guide Ram and our porter Rupesh.
The trek was well planned, we had great (local!) food on the way, and we slept in beautiful little villages in the mountains. Our guide Ram was incredible and made sure we had everything we wished for, even if sometimes a bit out of the ordinary.
Our next tour in Nepal will def be with Ram, Rupesh and Doklah.

We did the 4 day Poon Hill Sunrise trek with Ram and Rupesh as guide and porter. It was an amazing experience, walking through the mountain forrests and passing all the small villages that are mostly inaccessible by car. On the third and fourth day, we rose early to see the sunrise over the Annapurna mountain range, crazy beautiful! Our guide, Ram, really did his best to ensure we had the best experience and showed us the beauty of life in the mountains. Accommodation and food were very good, I recommend sticking to the local meals to get the full experience!
Pro tip: bring a pack of cards to play during the evening, even the locals can join!

We hiked to Everest Base Camp and helicoptered back down. As a traveler who always seeks to be with the locals, getting to know our guides Makar and Gorka was possibly my favorite part. They were were humble, happy and knowledgable young men. Makar speaks fantastic english. I didn't do any of the planning, but I was told that moutain mart helped out loads with logistics. Highly recommend Moutain Mart and the Makar/Gorka duo.

I have just returned with my trusty guide Lochan to Lukla from our 12 day trek to Everest Base Camp. The December trip with clear blue skies was extraordinary. Lochan is a strong intelligent caring guide whom I recommend heartily. He was full of knowledge on the mountains, the culture, the people, and the food. Daily meticulous care for all my concerns and needs were always there, including accommodations, meals, water, WiFi (which was very important to me) and all the safety and rigors of hiking and preventing altitude sickness .
Mountain Mart is a great trekking organization. Dolakh, the manager in the Kathmandu office, has been working with me via email for 2 years as the trip was Covid postponed. He answered all my questions, and even upon my arrival on Kathmandu, he spent hours helping me clear up airline reservation problems that arose. Now at the end of my trip, he is helping me get my Covid test so I can fly back home to the US.

My first ever trek completed. I would like to thank Mountain Mart Treks and Expedition, Dolakh, and of course my brilliant guide Ram Bhandari, who made my trek extra special. Me and Ram trekked to Ghorepani Poon Hill (the trek was 8 days in total) to see the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain range at sunrise and it was truly breathtaking. A sight I will forever remember as well as the friendship forged
between me and Ram.
Ram went above and beyond his duties by providing me with fruit and chocolate daily, he constantly filled my water bottle to ensure I was drinking enough. He made sure we stayed at the best accommodations available and he even paid for my internet at every accommodation, which I might add served fantastic food. (Ram took my order and always asked if I wanted more)
Moreover, Ram taught me about Nepalese culture including the language which was very interesting. If anyone is thinking about visiting Nepal, then trekking is a must do. I can't recommend Mountain Mart enough, but be sure to request Ram Bhandari as your guide because he will make it extra special
A great guide, a great person and a great friend!

Already from the first contact I felt very comfortable with MMT.
Mr. Dolakh, owner of MMT, listened clearly to my requirements for the EBC & Gokyo trekking and went the extra mile to fulfil them. He and his team took care of everything. The service MMT provides is one of the best in Kathmandu. Also for selecting a guide he listened clearly. As I (single person) planned to do the EBC trek as from Bhandar, the total number of trekking days would be 21. So it is important that our characters match well. Also this was taken into account.
My guide, Bhoj Tamang, is a very experienced mountain guide. He comes from the Sherpa community, speaks good English, is very polite and knows perfectly how to interact with his clients. He is always present but not intrusive. He knows many people and get things always done in favor of his clients. He knows the best accommodations and lunch options and was always willing to listen to his clients. On a daily base he asked about my health, so he could take immediate action in case some signs of altitude sickness popped up. I felt very, very secure with Bhoj and was able to reach the Everest Base Camp and passes without any issue, mainly thanks to his support. If you book your trekking with him, ask for the “salami breakfast” (internal joke).
After the trekking I met mr. Dolakh in the new Everest Boutique (Heritage) hotel, his new project. A super nice hotel, build in the local Nepalese architecture (carved wooden windows, stone sculptures, indirect lightning, best panoramic view over Kathmandu) and located in a quiet side street in Thamel. The hotel opening is planned for September 2022.
Mr. Dolakh takes time to listen to the trekking experience of his clients. In this way he’s able to improve his service and become even more respected in the tourism business.
Summery: MMT is one of the top travelagents in Thamel. Price versus service and quality are difficult to beat. Staying in the Everest Boutique hotel will be a “heaven on earth”.

Couldn’t recommend Mountain Mart Treks enough. I did the Classic Everest Base Camp trek with them and it was an amazing ones in a lifetime experience. Our guide Makar was so helpful and knowledgeable about the many different mountains we seen during the trek. Thoroughly recommend anybody to do the Everest Base Camp trek with Mountain Mart Treks.

Ive been wanting to go to Nepal and do some hiking for a long time and was finally able to go recently, I went going on my own and being my first time to Nepal I wanted to go with a guide, I saw some great reviews about Mountain Mart and decided to contant them...
Dolakh was quick to respond to any question I have and gave me lots of options for treks an itinirarys that sounded really great, I finally decided to go with the 10 day Annapurna Base Camp + Poon Hill trek from Kathmandu, Dolakh helped recommend a start date for me around my planned holiday and even helped me change the date last minute when I had some last mnute issues with my passport (long story haha).
Kumar was my guide during the trek and he was realy knowledgable and had great communication with me and all the guest house owners on the trek, everyone knew him, Dolakh and Mountain Mart and gave us their best hospitality which made the trek really comfortable and fun.
Kumar was also happy to adjust the itinirary during the trek according to my wishes and we were able to make it to Base Camp a day early before the weather changed and we got great views of the Annapurna Sanctuary and earned oursels a day off to relax in the Jinhu hot springs on the way back :)
In summary these guys are very profesional and have been trekking for more than 20 years in Nepal, they know everyone and all the routes and are a great choice if you are looking to do your trek there with confidence, we are already discussin our next adventure with Mountain Mart next year in the Everest region, 10/10 would recommend ;-)

This has been a most memorable trip to Tsum valley and Manuslu circuit with Sudip. I first met him in 2017 on the Annapurna circuit. Sudip was a fun companion on the trip with his Nepalese sense of humour and good wit. He has attention for detail and the trip was a smooth transition during trying times. Sudip had shown care, concern and compassion at all times and the trek was an awesome experience. Many thanks to Sudip who has a passion for trekking and Dolakh of Mountainmart treks for always being available.I plan to continue trekking with then in the future. Thanks again to an awesome experience with many wonderful memories. The service was five start at all time and Sudip English is great.

Just completed the 12-day EBC trek, what an absolutely incredible and unique experience exploring the Himalayas. I trekked alone with my guide and porter Bishal, who went above and beyond to ensure my safety, comfort, and trekking preferences were all met! He made sure I acclimatized well by adjusting to my pace, handled all the logistics when we reached the lodge at the end of every day, and was always proactive to ask if I needed anything.
Booking the trip was an easy and smooth process as well, overall very professional impression from Mountain Mart. Highly recommend for your next Nepal trek!

We have planned this trek for 2 years, but had to postpone several times due to Covid19 restrictions. During all this time, we stayed in touch with Dolakh, who gave us regular updates with respect to the situation in Nepal.
At last, we managed to do it in March- April 22. Thanks to MMT it became an amazing experience!
Everything was perfectly organized and even some very short-term changes/ whishes were carried out either by Dolakh or by the best guide ever- Tilak.
Tilak tirelessly took care of all our needs and wishes (like second blanket in each lodge for my freezing friend), continuously monitoring our speed (in order to prevent high altitude sickness) and oxygen content in our blood. He tried to make the best out of every situation in order to provide us the best possible comfort (rooms with the best view or in the quietest part of the lodges) and even adjusted the initial schedule in order to make our life easier. Each evening we had a briefing of what to expect the next day and if we had some special wishes, he always considered them. As I’m quite curious person asking a lot of questions about landscape, flora and fauna, I was very happy to get almost all of them answered and some funny stories on top😉.
Altogether, it was wonderful adventure enabled by a very professional team, which I highly recommend.

We completed the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek in April 2022. We did this as a group of five friends - none of us had experience trekking before. For reference we’re all 18-20 years old. The trek itself was beautiful with the mountains, but the experience was made by the team that took us. Our guide was Ram Bhandari - he is a local Nepalese man with a young family. Ram is very attentive - everyday he would provide us with a chocolate break, he would buy us fresh fruit every day for after dinner, which he would arrange himself. Ram is also an incredible cook and made the best momos and chicken curry we had on our entire trip. Ram would always offer us more food and wouldn’t eat until we had all finished; he would also teach us about local culture throughout our 10 days trekking. Every evening he’d explain the plans for the next day and check we were all ok. He was very accommodating for the different confident and fitness levels in the group and made everyone feel capable. Our sherpas were Sujan, Chitra and Thakur who were also very helpful and have a difficult job of carrying the bags all day, they were always there in the morning to collect our bags when we were ready and were always arrived at the hotel at the on time with our bags as well. Mountain Mart have a brilliant team working for them and Dholak should be very proud of the work they carry out. Thank you Ram and team for being so accommodating, we could not recommend them enough.

Just came back from the 13 day Everest base camp trek. It is the most beautiful hike I have ever done, and nothing will parallel the experience of seeing several >8000 m peaks. We highly recommend Mountain Mart and especially our guide, Tilak and porter, Gevan. Tilak went out of his way several times to make us feel comfortable on the hike. He is a very experienced trekking guide, speaks English very well, and knows all of the trails and mountains as if they were his home. In addition, he is very knowledgeable and good at explaining the history of Mt Everest and local Sherpa culture. He was always prepared to give good advise on everything from the best food, to hiking, to altitude sickness. Gevan was a very kind and patient porter, and made sure to adapt to our speed on the hikes we did together. Both were very enthusiastic, and we couldn’t have asked for a better guide and porter. We had a problem free hike to base camp, both of us are relatively fit with past above 14k feet hiking experiences but are by no means very fit or very experienced at hiking. We opted to take the helicopter down after reaching base camp, for comfort, as we would have succeeded in the return trip. It was very easy to make this re-accommodation with mountain mart.

It is rare for me to write reviews however the fantastic past 2 weeks spent trekking around Nepal warrants an exception. Mountain Mart Treks (MMT) from start to finish were simply outstanding. Always attentive to any requests we may have had, MMT ensured that a group of 5 completely inexperienced trekkers got the most from every day in Nepal, organising interesting tours, quick transport and superb accomodation.
Whilst it would be easy to wax lyrical about the organisation of the trip, for me, where the company really stands out is the people involved within it. From the owner Dholak, who answered any questions or doubts we may have had at the beginning, our guide, Ram Bhandaru who provided us with information throughout and finally our porters Sujan, Chitra and Thakur who spent tireless days carrying our kit from one stop to another, all people involved in MMT were enthusiastic and extremely accomodating. Ram, for I think all of us, deserves particular praise and truly went out of his way every day to ensure we had the best possible experience. Providing motivation at any points we found difficult, finding the best places to stay and eat and often cooking for us himself he was honsetly exceptional and made what was always going to be a good trip great.
It is diffiuclt to praise the company enough for all their fantastic work so instead I would just like to thank everyone involved. For anyone looking for an advenuture of a lifetime, superbly organised and filled with a number of wonderful people look no further than MMT!

Just arrived back from the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek which I completed as a group of 5 friends in April 2022 and had the most incredible time thanks to Mountain Mark Treks, our guide Ram Bhandari and our porters Sujan, Chitra and Thakur.
Ram Bhandari made sure we had the most phenomenal trip by always going above and beyond his duties. He would ensure that every night we would have the best rooms with the best views. While trekking he would always provide us with chocolate breaks to keep energy high during the day. He ensured that everyone in the group was comfortable, despite differing levels of fitness and would always make sure he had provided us with enough water for the next part of the trek. Ram Bhandari would always take our order himself, breakfast, lunch and dinner and would always make sure we had eaten enough food. He even cooked some of our food for us while we were away- which tasted incredible! After dinner, Ram Bhandari would provide the group with plates of fruit in amazing patterns! Ram had great communication with us and would always explain the plans for the next day of trekking, making sure everyone was always happy and comfortable . During the day, while trekking, Ram would teach us about Nepalese culture which we all found very interesting.
Ram Bhandari was considerate, friendly, spoke great English and payed excellent attention to detail which is why I couldn’t recommend him enough as a guide with Mountain Mart Treks!

I just finished the 3 Passes Trek with Bhoj and Mountain Mart, and wanted to say how wonderful he was! It was a challenging trek for me but he was very encouraging and patient, which I greatly appreciated. Every evening we would go over the next day’s plan so we knew what to expect. We never had to wait for a room once we arrived at our next stop, everything was already set up. He is very knowledgeable about the Everest region and it’s obvious he loves what he does. When the weather wasn’t cooperating he arranged helicopter transportation for us back to Kathmandu. His smile and laugh are contagious, I would love to take a tour with him again! Ten stars Bhoj, thank you for a memorable experience!

We did the Everest three passes trek with mountain mart. The trek itself is beautiful and rewarding.
The best part of our experience with Mountain mart was our guide Bohj. He was a pleasure to trek with. Always positive, smiling, helpful, and a great sense of humor. If I book another adventure with Mountain mart I will request to get Bohj as a guide.

In April 2022, we completed the Annapurna Sanctuary Trek. This consisted of 10 full days trekking which were challenging but highly rewarding.
When we arrived in kathmandu we were greeted by a MMT associate who transported us to a nice hotel in Thamel. We then had a couple of nights in kathmandu where a city tour was organised for us and we were given time to prepare for the trek. We then flew to pokhara before starting. We started off in the lower parts of Annapurna region, passing through small villages each with their own culture. We gradually made our way up through the mountains until we reached Annapurna Base Camp on day 6, at 4130m high. We then descended back through the valleys before arriving back in Pokhara. Here we got the tourist bus back to Kathmandu.
The trek had some incredible views (most notably at Poon Hill) and we met some lovely people along the way and were cooked some amazing food.
Our guide was Ram Bhandari - without whom I truly believe would have been less memorable. He is a local Nepalese man with a young family who works incredibly hard to ensure his guests have a wonderful time. He takes time to ensure every member of the group is happy, comfortable and enjoying themselves (his favourite saying being: “if you’re happy, then I’m happy!” He phoned hotels in advance to ensure we had the nicest rooms with the best views of the mountains, he took orders for food, cooked food himself for us, bought chocolate and fresh fruit for us daily and lots more.
By the end of the trip I think it’s safe to say that ram was more of a friend than a guide and Im sure we will stay in touch
Special thanks must also go to our porters: Sujan, Chitra, Thakur who were all very smiley and did a great job carrying our bags.
Overall if you’re looking for a place to trek, I would highly recommend the Annapurna region but definitely make sure you book it with MMT - I can guarantee you won’t regret it!
