We (7 persons) went for a 12-day trek to Everest Base Camp (EBC) from 6 -18 Nov. 2022 with Mountain Mart Treks and it was an outstanding experience. From planning to the end of the trip, Dolakh, the owner of Mountain mart Trek was very helpful. We got all the information and help that we need. On the way back, we switched our plan to Helicopter rides and Dolakh was really helpful and arrange everything including the payment. I would highly recommend to use Mountain mart Treks for your adventures in Nepal.
In addition, I would like to have special thanks to our Guides, Ram Bhandari, Prem and Bishal. They are really good in taking care of us and make sure that we have a great experience during the trek and reach our final destination. They help us including carrying our daily backpacks while some of us struggling with the thin air above 4,700 mpdl. I would give a 5 star to Ram, Bishal and Prem for their service and professionalism. Our special thanks also to our porters... We would definitely use Mountain Mart Trek for our next adventures

Did the Everest Base Camp with Helicopter return. Everything worked out well and enjoyed the trip immensity. Do your self a favor an enjoy the time and leave your cell phone behind. We got to experience local culture on the treck, involved in the lives of our guides and porters, and had a wonderful time at some of the tea houses and local "pool" halls. Make sure to ask for Yukumar. I witnessed other tours leaving their people behind and forcing them higher when experiencing AMS and losing consciousness on the trail. Make sure you choose a reputable and caring organization when booking your trip.

We had a great time on our 10 day Everest Base Camp trek with helicopter return. I really did not know what to expect once we made the booking, but I was pleasantly surprised. First of all - the company owner Dolakh is super responsive and ensures that all your questions are answered. In addition, he took care of all the logistics and made sure that our journey was smooth. You are essentially placing your safety on this company, and they take it seriously and make sure there are no issues. I saw a lot of other companies that really don't provide this level of service and care.
Last but not least, our guide (Yu Kumar) was awesome! He is in the photo attached with the review. He ensured our safety and comfort throughout the trip. He made sure he made bookings with lodges that had attached bathroom whenever possible. He also cut us fresh fruit every night and also taught us some local Nepali tunes during the trip. He made the trip a lot of fun, and I was really sad to leave because it felt like we had become family. Do yourself a favor and go ahead and book a trip with this company and request for Yu Kumar as the guide. They have 800+ 5 star reviews for a reason.

Did the classic ebc trek (14 days - from November 18) solo with the best guide I could've had. His name is Bishal. Make sure to ask about him if you're looking for someone to take care of you, give you valuable advice, without interferring so much in your own experience. He was very polite and friendly.
The whole journey from booking online, to getting needed information, to checking out was better than I expected.
Make sure you're ready for some tough hiking at times, with warm clothes and meds.

I did the 5 days Annapurna Base Camp Trekking with Mountain Mart because with limited time and flying in from Europe, Mountain Mart was the only Agency providing ABC in only 5 days.
Everything was perfectly organized. Flying into Kathmandu in the afternoon, staying overnight in Everest Boutique Hotel (with the best rooftop bar/restaurant in Kathmandu) and meeting our guide for the tour (Sudip) there, taking the plane the next morning, meeting Sudip and the porter at the Pokhara airport (he took the overnight bus) and having the Jeep transfer to New Bridge to start Trekking.
The ABC Tour is a once in a lifetime experience and the pictures and impressions will never leave my mind. It was challenging but never too exhausting. I felt very much taken care of by our guide and porter. Especially Sudip was always eager to foresee what we could wish for and be of help.
I can highly recommend Mountain Mart as a tour operator and would always prefer an organized tour than doing it by yourself, because (i) I could not have organized this in the same time, (ii) it also gave me a good feeling to always know how long it would exactly take to the next stop and where to stay overnight and (iii) from talking to other people while trekking it seems it was more expensive to organize Jeep transfer, guide, porter, meals and overnight stays separately.

The guide and the team were very helpful. In particular, Bishal was always there if we need anything. He is not only an experienced and professional guide, but also a person to have and interesting conversation and chat. We sayed in touch well after I was back home from the trip. Everything was nicely organised, but we also had a chance to modify our plan slightly as we go.

I was looked after like Royalty on my trek to EBC. My guide Makar really is the best in the business with over 200 EBC expeditions and fluent English he truly was the best I could hope for! We hit off a great friendship on the trek, what a lovely man, and such patience like no other human being I know.
Thankyou so much for the professionalism and hospitality in every aspect on the trek. From start to finish I would say that MountainMartTreks is the absolute best in the business.

So the cost?
I booked a solo trip to EBC and was given a group booking rate which was very kind of Dolakh as he knew I was a traveller on a strict budget. This helped me immensely as I booked an all in package which meant i had nothing and i mean nothing to worry about.
I was given 2 nights in the most magnificent hotel in Kathmandu namely, The Everest Boutique Hotel.
Again it was like I was The King of Nepal I promise you these guys have everything covered every little detail! Nothing has been overlooked everything has been finely tuned for you to have the best experience of your life!

Our trek with Mountain Mart Treks was a great experience! Our guide, Bhoj, was very experienced in trekking and very knowledgeable on any question we had to ask! We finished our Nepal Three Pass trek in 12 days. Our health and safety was never in doubt and Bhoj always made sure we were feeling fine before our next day of trekking. I would highly recommend using Mountain Mart to anyone looking to trek among the Himalayas.

Truly a once in a lifetime experience that was superbly facilitated from start to finish by the fine folks at Mountain Mart. Highly recommend Gokyo Ri as it was much quieter than EBC, we were happy to have spent the majority of our time off the main trail!
Bishal is an exceptional guide and human being; he knew everyone on the mountain, which made us feel safe and secure, knew every corner of the mountains and offered so much care and attention to everything on the trek. My friend and I were both quite ill at times on the trek and he cared for us like we were family.
Highly recommend this company for your trekking needs in Nepal!

An absolutely unreal experience! Very organised company who were very responsive with any questions I had prior to arriving in Nepal. Absolutely amazing trekking guide Kumar (Yukumar). Kumar was very hospitable and flexible in whatever we wanted to do. He made me feel very comfortable and he was very knowledgeable about all the mountains, villages and parts of the trek, something that made the experience very authentic. If I had a question Kumar had an answer and if I wanted to try something Kumar would be happy to arrange. You could tell that Kumar would get me into the best accommodation possible and if possible he would give me the options to choose myself. He was fantastic to chat to about anything and made the experience absolutely one I will never forget. He knew many people along the trek, hotel staff and locals, a testament to his good nature and friendliness.
Kumar is a very friendly and helpful guide I can’t recommend enough, if you’re looking at doing this experience I’d strongly suggest to request Kumar. The whole EBC experience was unreal, one I’ll never forget. Would highly recommend to anyone!

We did a 5 day trek from Lukla to Namche Bazar and back. Dolakh gave us a great guide by the name of Makar and a helpful porter named Dhan. If you get Makar as your guide then you will be very satisfied.
Mountain Mart quoted us the cheapest price compared to other agencies.
The only hick up was with our flights to and from Lukla with the airline called Summit Air. Was delayed for 1.5 hrs out of Kathmandu and not because of weather. On return we and 2 other airlines diverted to an alternate airport due to fog at Kathmandu. No problem, but the other 2 airlines took off again after about 1.5 hrs while we waited more like 4.5 hrs for some reason. Hence I would ask to be booked with Yeti or Sita air next time.
Other than that everything ran smoothly and I can recommend them to book your Nepal tour. Thanks Dolakh, Makar and Dhan.

Already in the preparation phase, Dolakh (owner) was very responsive and helpful in answering any questions regarding the different treks available and provide support in selecting the most suitable one. A very modern and comfortable hotel is included in the package and also upon arrival, Dolakh was there to answer any further questions or doubts I had and together with the guide, Prem Thapa, we checked if I had all the gear required for the trek. The agency is very professional and I can highly recommend.
Prem (guide) was very knowledgeable on the Nepali flora and fauna and was a great wildlife spotter. He also was able to share a lot of additional information on the background of the areas we visited as well as on the culture/religion(s). He patiently answered my many questions and throughout the trek I felt really well taken care of and safe.
The Thamang heritage trail offers great insight into life in Tibetan villages and the lifestyle of people there. We then moved on to Langtang valley with its beautiful nature and life being so peaceful in all its simplicity. We then crossed the Gosaikund pass offering amazing views on the Ganesh Himal range, Manaslu peak and Langtang Lirung. The whole trek was very much off-the-beaten track and we hardly saw any tourists (December).
I will take back amazing memories of this trek with its beautiful views and insight into the local way of living and can only recommend it.

I started to speak to Dolakh (Mountain mart’s owner) in mid-2019 to plan my trip for Oct-Nov 2020 and well we all know what happened. I booked a solo, Gokyo, Cho La Pass, EBC trek (18 days) for late October 2022. The back-and-forth email communication was easy and talking via What’s app was also convenient. A week before the trek I called Dolakh to check on some final details, he mentioned that the rainy season was still going strong and the flights to Lukla were delayed 2-3 days, he suggested booking a helicopter (for a fee) to avoid any delay/stress. I was very glad we did plus the Kathmandu authorities are making life very difficult for tourists and trekking companies these days. They have blocked departures from Kathmandu coming & going to Lukla due to air traffic congestion during trekking season. You now have to get up in the middle of the night to get on a bus and drive 4 hours/145k/90Miles on some very twisty road to get to the Ramechhap airport. Issues arise if your flight is delayed, the area has very limited accommodation and most of them are close to 20 miles away. The stories of that bus ride are not pretty in fact for someone like me with bad motion sickness it sounded petrifying and I asked Dolakh to put me on a helicopter for the return flight too (I still puked) … LOL. One of the wonderful advantages of booking with Mountain Mart is that Dolakh also owns a beautiful hotel in Thamel in the heart of the tourist hub in Kathmandu. The hotel is first class, build in traditional Newari architecture and it’s very quiet as it’s on a very small street with little to no traffic. After a quick helicopter ride to Lukla I was greeted by my guide Bishal. Bishal is an incredible person, my brother, my friend, my bodyguard, he made this trek possible for me and I’m eternally grateful. I thought I was in fair physical condition, I had done Kilimanjaro a few years back, I took my training seriously but I for sure underdetermined the challenge. I was walking 5 miles a day (10 on weekend), weight training and doing (real)stairs for 1-2 hrs 3-4 times a week. NOPE! To be ready you need to do double steps 4 hrs up then 2-3 going down also double steps…. Maybe then you’ll get close. Luckily it was a solo trip and didn’t have to worry about keeping up and was able to walk at my own speed without pressure. Bishal was very supportive and patient. The good news is that was a much lower risk of altitude sickness, most of the people I saw having trouble were the young/fit trekkers, a lot of them needing helicopter evacuation or turning around. It’s not worth pushing too hard or too fast even if you feel great. It was a splendid trek, my best decision was to go to Gokyo before EBC truly beautiful and so much more than EBC. After Gokyo came Cho La Pass which really kicked my butt, a long and very difficult day, a couple days later was EBC. I was obviously glad I made it to base camp but not the best views of the trip. I skipped Kala Patthar as I had nothing left in the tank and already did Gokyo Ri for the best view of Everest and other peaks. I would say if you want beauty do Gokyo and back via the Kongma La Pass but if you’re doing the bucket list then EBC. I was very lucky to have the time (3 weeks) which allow me to do both without rushing. Although quite difficult for a middle age, not in (apparently) top shape, it was a truly epic trip. Where I exceled was my breathing, my O2 saturation only dropped in high 80’S on the last day in Gorakshep. When everyone around me were barely in the 70’s. I practiced nose only breathing during my training I also did pressure breathing and used the Wim Hof method, a book I recommend is “breath” by James Nestor, great insights. I was maintaining a mid to high 90’s prior to that. In Gokyo for example even Bishal and other guides were in the mid 80’s, some trekkers using my O2 monitor were in the low 70’s!!! Another reason I didn’t get sick not even the slightest headache. The weather was perfect, not a drop of rain, big contrast from the few weeks prior, but it was still very cold, the second you are out of the sun you will feel the chill, I was very grateful for the warm dining room in the tea houses in the evening. A tip I’d like to share with the ladies and the guys for that matter is to bring a pee system, they are small and light weight and well worth it. The nights are so cold and unless you have a private bathroom attached to the room (not always available) you’ll be very glad you didn’t have to walk down the hall in minus something degrees often with wet floor and no seat toilet. Ask your guide to get you 2-3 empty plastic bottles and just dump them in the am. Another thing I was happy with was the water filter I used a “GRAYL” bottle, no chlorine tablets needed it filters both virus and bacteria’s, easy system to use, the only negative it’s a bit heavy. Every morning I would filter the hot bottle of water that I was given for the night to keep warm, the water even boiled had a funny taste, I couldn’t stand it (I don’t like flavor water or electrolytes) but with the Garyl filter it was perfect. Do bring a Nalgene bottle too, for the boiled water at night and extra water for the long days, the Garyl is only 700ml. The one thing I wish I brough with me was a few packs of hand warmers, I could have use them on most morning. Because of the great weather, I didn’t have any delays and was back in Kathmandu with 5 days to kill, Kathmandu is not my favorite city and having picked up a cold on my way down the mountain I was ready to get back home. I was able to get an earlier flight out and a few days of rest before I had to get back to work. Great experience with Mountain Mart, VIP treatment from first to last day I very highly recommend this company and it’s even more remarkable people.

Arrived in Kathmandu the 23rd December everything was perfect with driver waiting for me and Dolakh, the owner of Mountain mart Trek already texted me in case I was in needed of any support.
From 25th Dec 2022 till 4th Jan 2023 with Mountain Mart Treks support i was able to enjoy this stunning area and it was an outstanding experience. From planning to the end of the trip, Dolakh was very helpful and supported me with flexible solo planning. I got all the detailed planning information and help with basics till supporting me for the rest of my holiday. On the mountain the guide Yukumar was extremely kind and explain me in detail step by step during all the journey the facts of mountains and villages, and much more replaying to any questions I pose him. I would highly recommend to use Mountain mart Treks for your adventures in Nepal.

The trekking was fantastic, Sudip - our guide is very professional, showed us all the best viewpoints and took care of our stays at different locations. I did the Poon Hill trek with 2 friends with Mountain Mart with Ram Bhandari as our guide and Gokarna Magar as our Sherpa. I cannot recommend this experience enough - to begin with, Mountain Mart was extremely easy to communicate with and we were briefed in Kathmandu which helped with any pre-trip anxiety. Ram took us around to hire equipment in Pokhara before the hike.
The trek was of a moderate difficulty and Ram was reassuring during the more challenging parts, and was really informed about the route. Both Ram and Gokarna went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable during our stays and we felt really well-looked after, even when one of our friends fell sick. Doing the Poon Hill trek was an amazing vibe, hiking alongside people who had been doing the same route over the past few days, with stunning panoramic views.
Ram and Gokarna were flexible with changing our plans due to our friend's illness and still took us to a really stunning lookout over Pokhara, where we stayed a night instead. It was such a fun and memorable time, and we were very supported by Ram and Gokarna - I would recommend you ask for them if you decide to go with Mountain Mart!

Went on a trek to Punhill with 2 other friends with Mountain Mart. We had Ram Bandari as our guide and Gorkana Magar as our Sherpa. They were excellent in guiding us through the trek and making sure our stay was accomodating. Mountain Mart has been extremely corporative - we had a pre trek briefing which set expectations for everything that was and wasn’t (bottled water) included in the trek package. Ram also gave us a recommended place to hire warmer puffer jackets.
Everything was at our own pace - Ram and Gokarana were beyond accommodating. When one of our friends got sick during the trek which required a change of plans, Ram’s extensive knowledge of the city and flexibility allowed us to still reach the peak (for those who could) and see different views of Pokhara on the decent.
We had a really fun and memorable experience - when I return I will definitely be contacting Mountain Mart again.
Couldn’t recommend them enough :)

I completed the Ghorepani Poonhill Trek with two friends and my experience was incredible! The communication with Mountain Mart Treks from the beginning of the trek where we were briefed about the trek and its difficulty was smooth and easy.
During our trek our guide, Ram Bandari and Sherpa, Gorkana Magar were patient, supportive and accomodating with our entire trek. The trek was of moderate difficulty and Ram took us slowly through the trek as we needed. I fell sick on the second day of the trek and the care we received from our guide was really special. He gave us different options for completing the trek and checked in on my health regularly. He even gave me some anti nausea medication to help with my sickness.
We ended up going on an alternative route to end the trek and we delivered with beautiful views as promised. I would highly recommend Mount Mart Treks for your trekking experience in Nepal and the guide and sherpa, Ram and Gorkana!

From the time you land in Kathmandu until the time you get back on the plane to leave, Mountain Mart Treks takes care of you! Their guides are exceptional (I recommend Ram), and the owner, Dolakh is hands-on in making sure you have a good experience. Ram Bhandari (our guide), Sujan (our porter) and my companions made my first Nepal trek a most unforgettable experience, and I’m sure this will be the first of more to come.
Ram taught us so much about the sacred land and its people, whilst taking excellent care of us throughout our Poon Hill-Ghorepani trip, that started from Kathmandu (Everest Boutique Hotel).
He is a very competent and compassionate guide, and his top priority was always about making sure we were comfortable (with scaling new heights, getting nourished and hydrated, and having a good night’s rest).
I also appreciated that Sujan would always watch out for us - especially after my weary knees and ankles were buckling more than usual on our descent.

The trip was very easy to book through the hotel we was staying at. Went on the 10 day trek with Sudip who was the guide. He was very helpful and I’m very confident he made sure everything was done and seen within our own time and however we liked to do so. Our tour was perfectly planned from front to back. We are not experienced hikers ourselves, but the route to Poonhill does not require any special fitness. Every effort is rewarded with a great view over the western Himalayan mountains, which increases from destination to destination.
Overnight stays are in simple but very cozy accommodations, where you can meet many like-minded people, or just relax from the day. Our meals were always well taken care of.
A very special thanks goes to our guide Ram Bhandari who made our trip very special. At all times our needs were put first and we always felt well taken care of. We got all the info about nature, culture and surroundings and could always blindly rely on him to decide everything to our best. You can only wish for such a 5-star service.
Huge thanks also goes to our great porter Anil Thapa, who has perfectly taken care of our luggage and has also always best support where it was needed.
